I released him, and he headed back to the pack house. I paused a few minutes before following him to the pack house and searched for Ansel. He was already asleep, and I knew he’d be on edge. Not wanting to cause more alarm for him or Genevieve, I went to Jessica’s desk. Several luggage bags in various sizes were propped up against it. A little note was on top that read ‘Do Not Touch. For Jay.’ I smirked, knowing Jessica could’ve put them in my office, but decided the note was enough to ward people off. I grabbed the bags and eyed a briefcase that was hidden between the bags and the desk. It was different that then other bags, but obviously bundled with them.
