It was cute, decorated in classic 50’s style, with pink chairs and neon signs on the walls. I almost expected the waiters to have roller skates on. We sat in a booth and our waiter poured us coffee into little white mugs and tried handing us menu’s but Genevieve stopped them, shaking her head. “No thank you. We’ll have the bacon jelly French toast.” Genevieve said. I raised my brows and almost argued with her, but she winked at me. “It’s the owners’ specialty. It’s like peanut butter jelly with bacon on it. Everyone new to town needs to try it.” “Sounds interesting.” I nodded at her and the waiter.
