BEEP BEEP
A loud beep made the individual currently seated in a dark part of the plane groan, slamming his fist on anything nearby, he heard a smashing sound before finally opening his eyes. His pair of mismatched eyes seemed to be glowing in the dark corner he was in.
“Shut this thing down.” He groaned, his voice husky.
“What is that, master?” Someone asked from a position not far from where he was seated. The individual was standing, leaning against the wall behind him with his arms folded across his chest.
“This beeping sound.” He groaned again.
“I’m afraid it’s all in your head, master.” The one leaning against the wall replied.
“WE HAVE ARRIVED IN Green CITY, MR EVERGREEN.”
“Well, looks like we’re here.” The one leaning against the wall smirked as he started to walk towards the other man. Handing him some pills, he instantly swallowed it. “I have good news from Chris. He managed to get the goddess to sign the contract.”
The man didn’t say a word and just stared into nothing for a few minutes. “Bryce.”
“Yes, Master Ray?”
He didn’t say a word as he stood up. Walking past Bryce, he finally spoke up. “Get me every detail about her.”
In the White Mansion…
“Kyla!” Taylor thundered from the ground floor, bargain into the house with a livid expression.
Kyla who was seated on the stairs scrolling through her phone peeked over to look at him. “Oh, hey babe.” She smiled brightly which creeped him out a little.
He didn't know why but something about that smile made him feel chills. “What's with all these rumors going on?” He asked her, walking up to meet her while shoving his phone in her face.
A frown appeared on her face for a few seconds before she rolled her eyes. “Oh yeah, I was making preparations for when my contract with White expires in two days.” She replied. “Do you have a problem with it?”
“What do you mean by that? We agreed that as long as we're married, you'll not sign with other industries. And you agreed to it. Your parents have no issues with it either.” He tried not raising his voice against her but he was unable to reduce the pitch of his voice.
With a blank expression, Kyla rose from her seated position, trying hard to hold back her anger. “I did everything for you, Taylor . Where did I go wrong?” She asked, trying to stop her voice from shaking.
“What the f*ck are you talking about? I have given you everything and anything you wanted and the least you could do is stay in my company…”
“So you can use me as a money making machine?” She snapped back at him, trying hard to hold back her scoff. “That's utterly ridiculous, Taylor nard. I've done everything, everything. And how do you repay me? A day before our anniversary, you have to sleep with my step sister.”
As she said those words, she expected him to be stunned but he just stared at her like it was something he was entitled to. “In our house and you had the guts to bring her into the same room as me? You have no shame Taylor nard.”
“Look, Kyla. That shouldn't be a surprise to you… I-I mean, you barely even satisfy me and I am a man, Kyla. I don't want to stress…”
Before he could complete his sentence, a harsh slap landed across his face, shutting him up in an instant. “How dare you?” She gritted her teeth, clenching her fists angrily.
“I can't believe I loved and trusted someone like you. Yes I signed with Phoenix entertainment and I won't be renewing my contract with the White. Also, expect my lawyer.” She said through gritted teeth as she turned to leave but he grabbed her hands harshly.
“You can't be serious, Kyla. You won't leave untill I tell you to leave.” He spat angrily, his grip around her hand tightening.
“Let go of me.” She snatched her hand from his but before she could take another step, he yanked her towards himself, making her lose her footing and slip down the stairs.
A soft thud was heard as her body landed on the floor, blood tricking down her forehead. Taylor stood there stunned which she groaned, trying to move her body. “You really are eager to get more than a divorce, aren't you, Taylor nard.” She forced out. “We're done, Taylor nard. Deal with it.”
That moment, Melanie walked in with some bags in her hands and when she saw Kyla laying at the end of the stairs, she rushed over to check up on her. “Call my lawyer, Melanie. And sue him for assault.” She groaned, forcing herself up.
“You are not leaving, Kyla.” Taylor rushed down the stairs bit before he could reach her, three guards stood before him to stop him as Melanie helped her up and out of the house. “Get out of my sight you idiots. Remember I pay you all.”
Before he could make another move, she was already out of the house and was inside the car already.
“She's going to be fine, she just had a fall. No broken bones or anything.” The doctor informed after checking Kyla over and over again, making Melanie let out a sigh of relief.
As the doctor walked out, Melanie turned to her boss in concern. “Are you sure about this, ma'am? I mean, we don't know how positive or negative your change to Phoenix entertainment would be.” Melanie expressed her concern but all Kyla did was scoff at her assistant.
“There's nothing you understand right Melanie. I don't care anymore. I've had enough of this nonsense with him. He crossed the line and I don't care whatever he is trying to do to redeem himself, but I will leave that toxic marriage first.” She hissed as she touched her forehead gently.
“I understand, ma'am. So what do you want to do now?” She asked, looking at Kyla who suddenly went quiet.
“Prepare a something to wear for me. I'm going to a club to drink my heart out. And send the divorce papers to him tonight.”
“We're here on Evergreen, so what do you want to do tonight, master?” In one of the penthouses in the city, a man dressed in black suit stood behind another wh
o was staring out the city.
“Prepare my car, I'm drinking out tonight.”
