Screams of those being torn apart were deafening, her heart was breaking with every shriek. “Please,” she whispered as she reached forward, grasping his hand. “I can't let this continue.” she pleaded with him to understand. “How can I be sure that your God will protect you?” He inquired, quietly. “You can't be,” she responded, squeezing his hand. He was silent for a few moments, thinking, “I can't let you be injured. You are too important,” he responded, his posture indicating that he had no intent on moving out of the way to allow her to be seen by the true demons. “I can't allow the true demons to continue this massacre.” She spoke, her voice shaking, tears ready to fall. “I can't bear it,” she tried to get him to understand the pain it was causing her. “And I can't lose you,”
