Heat pushed in on her. She felt as if she was placed in a boiling hot oven to be baked. Despite being motionless, sweat rolled down her forehead and neck, leaving a momentary trail of coolness. She tried to breathe but was unable to. Why was it so hot? Was she dead? Perhaps in Hell? "Sire, I think she's alright now," a deep voice spoke. It was the same voice that prayed she would recover every day – the same voice that read to her and calmed her down. The mattress besides her dipped and she was gently pushed away from the source of all the heat. She was finally able to breathe again. "Leave for a second, please," a very familiar voice asked.
