“What is your opinion on foxes?”
“Foxes?” Stephan asked. May nodded, waiting enthusiastically for him to answer. “I’ve heard that wolves and foxes don’t get along well,” he joked. Upon seeing the scowl on May’s face, he added: “But I think they’re lovely animals.”
“They are. Do you know they’re one of the slyest and most jealous animals out there? They say you should never trust a fox.”
Stephan nodded before asking, “Why are you asking?”
“I’ve taken an interest in foxes lately. I was just curious about what you thought about them.
“I’ve never seen one in real life, but from what I’ve seen in pictures, they’re beautiful.”
May brightly smiled before pulling Stephan into the nearest store. She needed to buy more herbs for her herb set and was glad when Stephan had offered to go with her
