Chapter 11
Kent’s cellphone rang, and he was glad he checked the caller ID before answering. He checked his annoyance and said, “Hello,” in the politest voice he could manage given his mood.
“Kent! Ron here. Congratulations, you’re one of the first people I get to call back!”
“That’s great. Did I get the job?”
“It’s pretty much in the bag, but there’s a second interview with our district manager first. Don’t worry, you’re so high up the list that there’s almost no chance of him saying no at this point. Are you free tomorrow?”
“I don’t know if I can get down to Billing for tomorrow, it’s pretty short notice.”
“No need, this interview will be in Missoula. Tomorrow, five in the afternoon, if that works for you?”
“Tomorrow is wide open.”
