Chapter 6 He dropped her off at her car and then followed her back to her apartment. He carried the bag of groceries inside. She unlocked the inner door and led him to the elevator, her heart already hammering at the thought of being trapped in that tiny box with him, even for a few moments. All she could hope was that someone else would come in and want to ride up with them, breaking the tension. No one came in, so she stepped into the elevator, Kent right on her heals.
