Pregnant again?

Alice "No!" I shouted. "What? Why? I don't understand after all this time. What is the point?" I was confused and annoyed. "Alice," my mother sighed. "No. I mean it. Do not look for him. I want no part of this," I stormed off into the bedroom. Santiago and Mateo followed me. "Alice," Santiago called. "Are you okay?" I simply nodded. "Don't do that. Just answer me." "I'm fine," I told him. "I don't want to talk about it." "Alice, we just want to help. What's going on with you and your mother," Mateo added. I began to pace back and forth. "Leave it," Santiago said. "She doesn't have to talk if she doesn't want to." "But," Mateo looked concerned but dropped it nonetheless. A few hours passed. My mother went back home. I was surprised she left without making such a scene but she hadn't been drinking as much as usual so she was calmer. I used to feel bad about what happened between them and then I felt hopeless and angry that my mother became lost and a drunk. I hated him. I tried to keep loving her. My family was torn apart. I didn't believe in love and didn't want it but now I have two guys willing to love and cherish me. I didn't know what I was going to do with all of this but I knew I didn't want to ever see that man's face again. TWO DAYS LATER "How are you?" Mateo asked. "I'm good, I'm just a little tired," I answered. "Here," Mateo handed me a bagel. "I don't want that," I said groggily. "I'm not hungry." "You haven't eaten all morning," Mateo reprimanded me. "I said I'm not hungry," I was getting agitated. "I have to go." I headed over to Ady and Lisa's apartment. "Long time no see," Ady commented. "Yeah, sorry," I replied. "So, what's new?" she asked. "My mom coming back was special as always. She wants to look for my dad, again," I told them. "So, do you think she will actually find him this time?" Lisa asked. "I don't know," I pondered. "He disappeared and we have never seen him since." "Wow, all of that is crazy. I know you don't like talking about your family but, what happened?" Ady asked. I, he, when I was was younger," I suddenly felt my stomach churn. I quickly got up and ran to the bathroom. I hadn't eaten anything but I threw up anyway. I felt so sick and nauseous. "Are you okay? Alice," Ady asked. "Yeah, I'm just feeling a little off," I told her. "Off?" Lisa questioned. "Are you sick?" "I don't know," I said. "I just feel like everything is getting out of control and I'm losing-," "It's okay," Lisa said. "You are so strong and hold everything in. You don't let anyone help you so you think you have to hide or suffer alone but you don't. You have us." "I know, thank you," I told her. "Hey, um, do you think?" Ady stopped. "Do you think you might be pregnant?" A FEW HOURS LATER I didn't answer her. I didn't know what to say. Lisa quickly changed the subject and then we talked about other things until I left. I thought back to how many times I had felt sick and nauseous these last couple of days. I didn't even want to think what that could mean. I was lost again. Why was everything falling apart again? Everything was going so well, well sort of I guess. "Hungry?" Mateo asked. "I am," I smiled. He handed me a mini donut and kissed me softly. "Why do you always eat junk food?" "Donuts, especially in the mini form are not junk," he said. "Okay," I laughed. I pulled him closer and we both fell back on the couch. We began making out. Mateo's kisses were always soft and deep. I cupped his face. "What would I do without you?" I said softly. "Hello," Santiago suddenly entered the penthouse. "Hey," I said. He didn't say anything else. He just walked to the room. Mateo continued kissing me but I wanted to check on Santiago. "I'll be right back," I told him. He slightly frowned. "I'll be back and we will finish this." I kissed him again and left to find Santiago. "Hey stranger," I said seductively. Santiago was taking his shirt off. "You angry at me?" "Never," he smiled. "So, why are you here and not out there with us?" I asked. "Not in the mood," Santiago said coldly. "Really?" I questioned. "Tired of me already." Santiago walked slowly towards me. "I want you all to myself. You know that" he said smoothly. He brushed my hair back and kissed me intensely. Suddenly lifting me up off the ground and pushing me up against the wall. "You shouldn't test me. You shouldn't be with him when you are not with me," he said as he kissed my neck. "I get jealous and a bit crazy." "Santiago," I said. He pressed his lips firmly on mine and kissed me harder. I bit his lip and sucked on it. "What's wrong?" he stared into my eyes. "Something is wrong, tell me." "Nothing," I lowered my gaze. I knew he could see right through me. I knew he felt something was off with me. "Alice," he said boldly. "Tell me." "It's nothing," I said. I sighed. "Little Alice, there is nothing you can say that will change anything. I want you. I have you and I won't let go," he said. "I won't let anything change that." "Santiago," "So, tell me," he insisted. "TELL ME!" "I'm pregnant," Santiago slowly put me down and went to go sit on the edge of the bed. I looked at him and he looked down at the rug. "Say something," "I," Santiago couldn't look at me. "I don't know what to say." "Tell me it doesn't change anything," I pleaded. My heart was racing. I could hear it louder and louder as he stayed silent. "Santiago." "I think it changes everything,"
