VALLEY VIEW HOSPITAL
Klaus gently opened his eyes,the light was too bright.He closed his eyes and slowly opened it .He was on a bed with drip connected to his arm.His mum was beside him,she had bent her head down.Klaus reached out his hand to hers,she immediately raised her head
"Klaus, you're awake" She stood up immediately and left to call the doctor.She was scared that he might slip into a coma.The officer outside entered inside.He took a close look at Klaus.
"Name?"
"Klaus Williams"
"I have some questions for you, I'm officer Jake .Tell me,what happened that night?"
Klaus's mum, Laura came in with the doctor.The doctor checked his vitals and nodded his head
"He's lucky he didn't slip into a coma, he's alright,you can have him discharged." the doctor said and left.
"Mam, please wait outside"
"He's just recovering"
"I advise,you don't obstruct my investigation"
"Son, everything will be alright"
She left the room
"Now tell me what happened that night,"
Klaus remembered what happened,he can't tell him that a huge animal took Ellie and threw him over,he might actually think I'm lying
"I can't remember much,I remember driving off,we had an accident,I don't remember anything else"
"I really don't find that believable, you were found on seashore,how did you get there?"
"I don't know,I can't remember"
"I did a close review,when you were found,you had much blood on your shirt.I had the blood tested and they were yours but yet..."
He came closer,he pulled up my gown
"See,not even a scratch,so where did the blood come from?"
'What! No injury or bite mark,the animal bit me so how come it healed up so quick leaving no scar or scratch.He won't believe me' Klaus thought.
"I don't know,I can't remember anything"
"You said you had an accident but the highway was clear that night,so how did the accident happen,?I had the doctor check your system for sign of drugs or Alcohol and it came out negative, how then did it happen.If you had probably misdrove,it wouldn't have damage that car that badly.The car door was ripped off from the car,so how bad was the accident, shouldn't the car had blown up with such impact if it were an accident"
Klaus was speechless,he didn't know what to say
"I don't remember"
"You seem tensed a little,is there something you want share with me?"
"no"
"Then we are done for today , the doctor said your memory might be blur for some days but it will come back, then you are gonna answer my question .So better start cracking your head if not,let me not rather say.Make sure you are telling me the whole truth."
He stood up and left,Laura came in
"Mum I want to go home"
"Someone is here to see you,Charles come on in.,"
Charles was Laura's nephew,he came to live with the Williams when his mum and dad passed away.He and Klaus pretty much grew up together,Charles was like his elder brother he never had.Klaus didn't feel lonely again,his dad passed away before he could learn how to even walk.It has been his mum that provided for him and Charles,not still Charles got to college,he moved into the lodge.He visited quite often.
"Hey buddy,how you holding up?"
"Thanks for coming over"
"what we waiting for,let's go"
"right, I'll go get discharged, Charles,you stay with him"Laura left the room
"I guess you don't love the lodge after all"
"Yea,you were right"
"So are you moving back home"
"That's why I'm here,I got something to tell, I'm moving out of the country"

"My uncle invited me over and the college there,they allow American football as among their sport and it's a chance for to continue my career, I'm sorry, I'm sorry"
Klaus kept quiet
"So you are leaving us"
"I'm really sorry"
"Does mum know?"
"yea"
"So it's already decided,after all it's your life,not mine.Goodluck on your journey, I'll miss you "
Charles hugged him
"Head on"
"I'm going with you"
"Don't, just go,after all you will leave soon enough.Everyone I care about just leaves,first it was dad now you.Why the hell do you guys come into my life in the first place, just go, please"
He stood up. "I'm sorry" he left.
Laura soon came
"I've ... Where's Charles?".
"I asked him to leave"
"why?"
"When were you gonna tell me,you hid it.I don't want to see him again,after all he's not part of my life"

The nurse came and removed the drip and left.Klaus stood up and left the room, everyone he ever seemed to love just walks off.He felt something in his pocket,it was the necklace.The gush of memories hit him again,it was very blur.He felt a bit dizzy,he held unto the wall.What was wrong with him?
