I shook my head of my torturous thoughts, got up from the bed and walked over to the balcony. The door was no longer locked; I didn’t even see him unlock it. Opening the doors, a calming summer night breeze blew throughout the room. I was about to step out onto the balcony when I heard a noise, like someone moving around below the balcony. I stood there listening and looking around. I couldn’t see anyone, but the sound was growing stronger.
