As the car came closer to the castle, my heart beats even faster. I squeeze Boone’s hand inside mine and he laughs. “Don’t worry, baby,” he whispers in my ear. “They’ll love you.”
I nod and smile at him, feeling a bit better. He’s going to be with me the whole time, he’s promised me that. This is not a business trip, he won’t sneak away talking shop to anybody, especially not with Moira.
