Handover - planning a trip -Lexi pov

I had a good night sleep, once I finally went to sleep that is after thinking about everything with Tyler, I know what I need to do. I’m going to visit each of my fathers hotels after my Luna ceremony to introduce myself as the new owner and make sure each place is working as it should be, that should take a couple of months by the time I return Tyler should be close to getting his wolf and make things easier.. well easier to avoid him anyway. I head to the alphas office leaving Aria sleeping even when she’s asleep she looks perfect how does she do it I have major bed hair and drool down my face when I wake .. I need to get some tips off her.

I reach the alphas office and dial 5 on the handset and request breakfast to be brought up, I couldn’t risk seeing Tyler this morning. I look over some of the paperwork for the hotels and start planning my trip, a knock at the door distracts me come in, looking at the door wondering who it may be, “I have your breakfast Luna” a young male pack member comes in must be in his early twenties, “oh I forgot I ordered food” I say chuckling he places the food on the desk “can I get you anything else Luna” “actually” I say to him “close the door and take a seat, you could help me with a few questions I have” he closes the door and nervously takes a seat “what can I do for you Luna” “how old are you” “21 luna” “and when you got your wolf did you travel or stay on pack grounds” “I travelled a bit Luna I went to three of the hotels as I was training to become a warrior I trained with the pack here for a while and then continued to train at the hotels in hope I may find my mate, but unfortunately that wasn’t to be” his eyes saddened at his last words “so you are a warrior then” I look at him questionably “yes I am Luna but I also help out in the kitchens to earn a bit of extra cash, I’d like to visit more of the hotels further away in hope I may find my mate” “oh really” I say thinking this is perfect he is a warrior who can also cook maybe he would travel with me to the hotels as I do my meet and greets. I ask him the question to if he would like to be part of my trip to which he agreed straight away, as it would all be paid for and he would get to meet a lot of different she wolves. “I just need to confirm it all with Damien but I will let you know dates in due course” “that’s great Luna thank you so much for the opportunity to join you” he is grinning from ear to ear “anyway thank you Kaden you may go now, I’ll be in contact” he jumps up and heads to the door as he opens the door the sweet smell hits me s**t it’s Ty, Kaden bows his head and closes the door just as I see Ty walk around the corner, who are you I hear Ty shout at Kaden, I open the door to see Ty up close to Kaden questioning his presence, “TY WHAT ARE YOU DOING” I shout “thank you Kaden you be on your way” I say in a reassuring tone. Ty walks past me into the office “come in” I say sarcastically I close the door still looking at Ty who seems very tense and wound up, as I go to speak he turns to me “who was that!? You’re mate!?” His tone bitter and harsh “what no Ty, he’s kitchen staff he brought me up some breakfast” Ty looks at the desk “well your breakfast has gone so he must of been here a while” I know he’s being like this because of our mate bond but wow if he’s this protective now what will he be like when he does have his wolf. “He’s also a warrior he is going to help me with my trip I’m planning” Ty steps closer to me so close I can feel his breath “what trip” he spits out, every part of my body wants to take him there and then, to feel those lips touch mine, the need for his touch is driving me crazy “What trip” his words bringing me back to reality I step round him and take a seat at the desk “want to sit” I say sarcastically “are you going to tell me about this trip and him” “him is Kaden and yes if you are going to stop acting like a child I will tell you about it, but don’t forget I am your Luna you don’t get to act like that” using my Luna tone on him, he sits trying to stay calm “sorry Lexi I don’t want you to get hurt, if he is your mate please tell me so I make sure he is good enough” “Ty I have told you he is not my mate, thank you for worrying but I can protect myself you know”

His face softens but still full of worry “ I know you are keeping something from me Lexi and it makes me nervous, I feel I need to protect you, I can’t let anything happen to you and if you are keeping things from me I can’t protect you”

“I’m not keeping anything from you” straight up lying to his face “as I said I just have a lot on, my trip is after my Luna ceremony, I need to meet and greet each hotel as the new owner, I have asked Kaden to come along, he works hard and is a warrior and is also looking for his mate, this will help him while he helps me, obviously I will have Stephen and Anita with me while your dad looks after the pack here and a few more warriors” “and me can I come”his eyes questioning mine “no Tyler you don’t have your wolf yet, once you do I’ll take you but this is business not a jolly” the sadness flutters through his eyes “how long will you be gone” “couple of months not long really” “but you’ll be back for my birthday? I want you to be one of the people with me for my first shift, please Lexi” “I wouldn’t miss it Ty, thank you for wanting me to be a part of your big day” “he loves us” casey purring in my mind “that’s if he doesn’t reject us first” i respond “he won’t, have faith, he feels the bond already, he’s strong will make a great Alpha” oh my! Of course he will be alpha instead of beta “what if he only wants us for power” I say now panicking “this is Tyler, when has he ever been power hungry, he loves us for us” she scoffs at me

“Is that Casey you are speaking with” Tyler says “oh yeah sorry Tyler she’s just talking to me about the trip” “hey Casey, make sure you look after Lexi for me bring her back in one piece” Casey bouncing around that he is speaking directly to her. “I’ll be fine Ty stop worrying”

Damien enters the room “oh there you two are” “yep thought I’d get a head start there’s a few things I want to run by you, Ty was just leaving” I raise an eyebrow at Ty “yep dad I apparently was just leaving” he rolls his eyes as he gets up and leaves the room.

Damien now looking at me “what is with you two at the moment” “nothing” I blurt “I just got lots I want to do in my new role as Luna and he’s distracting” finishing with a chuckle to make light of the atmosphere.

“I have been going through a lot of the hotel sides of the business and would like to run some things past you if that is ok”

“Wow you are getting straight into business mode, done like a true Luna, I know you’d be great” Damien takes a seat, and we start to discuss everything including my new trip I have added to the list.
