But who was she kidding, she knew jay was different because with him she almost had no wall up,he was her safest place. One whom she had come to trust and depend on so much that she couldn't stand him being mad at her. “C'mon jay,I really just found out a day before we met at the restaurant.I had been having this pains around my lower abdomen since I was seventeen,it would come and then seize so I didn't take it seriously. Not until recently when the pains were becoming unbearable so I ran a test and found out what the problem was. I wanted to tell you the night at the restaurant but it skipped my mind, believe me please am really sorry" she said quickly as though she had no time left in the world. She was looking at him hoping he would believe her this time because she knew she hadn't been truthful about such matters in the past. He always found out one way or the other and on those occasions never happy but he would never shout or quarrel.Rather he would just give her the silent treatment while still taking care of her. “Yeah right"was all he said giving out the I don't care vibes and she couldn't care more. “Jay please believe me ,I am telling the truth this time I mean it.I promised I wouldn't lie and I intend to keep it" she said at the verge of tears.God.Why was her emotions all over the place. She closed her eyes trying to force the tears all the way back and failing terribly when she felt warm hands wrap around her.Surprised, she opened her eyes realizing the too familiar scent. “I believe you ,just wanted to be sure "he said calmly and gave her a warm kiss on the forehead.Even if he tried,he couldn't stay mad at her for too long. She was his solace, his peace, his light and he didn't think he could ever live without her ,not now not ever. While still embracing her,his mind drifted back to when he first saw her, that day he would never forget. He had seen her twice before they met at that restaurant It was at a wedding,he was invited eight months before the restaurant as a special guest. He was getting calls from his company about his products that were supposed to arrive the former night but hadn't. His mind was a mess as that was what would boost his company to go higher but if it didn't,his company, that one in particular would go bankrupt. He excused himself outside for some fresh air but it ended in barking orders from one call to another, could this day get any worse he thought creasing his brows in frustration. He had already resigned to leave when he heard a puppy bark from a distance
