I was minding my own business when these to fine ass females walked by. "Good morning." They said in unison.
"Good morning mamas. I said looking up at them. They both looked young but the one with emerald green eyes looked different. Not like any other woman I had ever seen before. It had to be her eyes. I was waiting on my dawg to show up with the money he was dropping off. And man I swear it all better be there or its gonna be a big problem.
"Aye man what's up." Chino said walking up to my table carrying a black duffle bag.
"whats up yo? Took you long enough dawg." I said and he knew i was talking s**t.
"Dawg you know my babymama be tripping when I gotta leave out this early." He said rolling his eyes to the sky. "Its always why cant you just stay. I always have to wake up with the baby by myself." he said mocking her. "The s**t is killing me"
"See thats why I stick to my motto. Strap up before you shoot the club up" I said laughing hysterically. He didn't see my funny.
"Here you go dawg its all there I counted it 5 times myself." Product moving dumb fast." he handed me the bag an I knew I didnt have to open it. Chino was my mans from 3rd grade. We started together an we gonna end together. No homo.
"Aight, just go to the house on 42nd an get what you need." I finished my beef pattie.
The whole time I sat there I could not stop thinking about the green eyed girl I had just seen. Her whole vibe was different and not like these loud mouthed ghetto girls around the way. "Aye man stay focused, we don't love these hoes." I thought to myself. "But man what if she's not a hoe" I was literally fighting with myself in my head. I needed to chill. I got up hopped in the Benz and rode out. Ironic huh. My name is the name of the whip I push. For the record my mama named me Benz before I ever had one.
I pulled back up to the Golden Crust and sat down in my chair. All the sudden I heard "Good afternoon sir." I looked up an it was this chick I knew I had see before with one of my homies. The other girls with her was the girls I had seen this morning one being the green eyed girl I couldn't stop thinking about.
"Good afternoon mamas." I said looking at all of them. "Aye ain't you the same Lil mamas that walked the blvd this morning?" I was talking to the leader but I was watching every move Lil Mama was making out of my peripheral vision. Trying to keep the Big Homie at bay.
"Yea we go to the PLC up on 31st." the leader replied.
"Ah s**t yall still in school. I thought yall mighta been working the block or something." I said laughing. I knew it wasnt funny.
"Hell nah it aint like that. Im 17, this is Mia and she's 16 and this is Adrienne shes 16 too. We aint no street walkers though." Tehari said in a matter of fact kind of way.
"Woah lil mama no disrespect or anything. Yall are tight I just aint used to the school age girls actually going to school. He looked right at me. "I'm Benz, like the car. Yall be safe out here in these streets. They aint got love for nobody." And I walked away. I had to get outta there before big homie wouldn't go down.
I hopped in the Benz an pulled off. Ironic huh. My name is the same name of the whip I push. I pulled up to Chino's crib an hopped out. Took the elevator up to the 2nd floor. His baby mother opened the door. "Is Chino here"
"Yea he's here come on in Benz. How you been?
"Same ole s**t different day." I said to her still thinking about the green eyed girl.
"Lemme go get him for you. It must be important if you making house calls now." She said with a laugh.
A few minutes later he walked out, "To what do I owe this twice in one day?" He said laughing.
"Aye man knock it off you know damn well we holla at each other every damn day." I said dapping him up an sitting down on the couch. "But no for real I gotta question for you."
"Shoot."
"You ever seen a tan skin girl with green eyes?" I said cautiously.
"You mean Adrienne?" His baby mother interjected.
I looked up at her. Honestly I hadn't even noticed she was standing there. "Yea that's her name. Adrienne. What do you know about her?"
"Well lemme start with she's only 16." She was making a valid point but I was already aware. I just celebrated my 19th celebration for my born day. "She lives on the 5th floor, her mama is white, she watches LayLay sometimes and she just loves her. She's very responsible. Why you wanna know about her?"
"I was just asking. I seen her an her homegirls twice today & I aint never seen her before." I said trying to divert the conversation away from where i knew it was going.
"Look it aint my business." Shayla started. But Chino stopped her. "Then dont make it yours." He said sharply.
"All I'm gonna say is she's a good girl an has the opportunity to make something of herself. Dont go dragging her into a world she knows nothing about."
I knew exactly what she was getting at and I didnt want that at all. "How about yall see if she can babysit LayLay for you and I'll pay." I knew that would change the mood. Even if I did have ulterior motives.
They both looked at eachother, "Sure. You aint gotta say that twice." Shayla went an got on the phone and came back within minutes. "She will be down at 8 after she finishes her homework an her mama leaves."
I felt my heart start racing. I have never experienced this in my whole 19 years. Shayla & Chino would be out, my niece LayLay would be sleep an I was gonna do a popup. I needed to know about this girl. Adrienne. I handed Shayla some cash an told her to use it to pay Adrienne with. It was only a couple hundred. Nothin to fancy.
