Theresa turned around and tried to pretend that she did not see Ruth. But she was looking at the side mirror of the Jeep, watching her as she ran after her kids, probably, applying sunblock on their skin.
“How many times have I told you to wait for your sister before you go to the beach?” The sister Ruth was talking about was the teen girl that she saw in the restaurant. She was just descending the van, carrying a tote bag with her.
“Ok now, do not go to the water without us. Listen to your big sister ok,” She told the younger kids before they started running to the beach, their bigger sister running after them.
