“I’m off to see my dad now,” Theresa told Samuel, she patted his hand. “Get yourself some rest, it was a long surgery.”
“Get some rest too, your father will not be transferred in a regular room for at least a couple of hours.” He stood up and helped Theresa stand too.
“I’ll try. I need to go find my Mom first.” She said, taking another sip from her water.
“Mom?” Samuel didn’t remember Theresa having a mom. All the while he knew that her parents were somehow separated. That her mom was never in the picture.
“Yeah, long story. Something we can talk about over dinner.” She said, smiling a bit.
“I look forward to that,” he replied.
Theresa hugged Samuel again, this time kissing his cheeks. “Thank you again,” she said.
