The Mischievous Monkey

214 Words
The Mischievous Monkey In a lush jungle, a playful monkey named Max loved causing trouble. One sunny day, Max snuck into the jungle's research center and snatched a basket of bananas from the scientists' lunch table. As Max swung from tree to tree, munching on the bananas, he dropped one, which landed in a nearby river. The current carried the banana downstream, where a clever tortoise named Terry found it. Terry, being a bit of a prankster herself, decided to use the banana to play a trick on the jungle's resident genius, a wise old owl named Professor Hootenanny. She placed the banana on the professor's favorite reading spot, and waited. When Professor Hootenanny discovered the banana, he looked around, puzzled. Max, hiding behind a tree, couldn't contain his laughter. The professor looked up, spotted Max, and chuckled. "You little rascal!" Professor Hootenanny exclaimed. "I should've known it was you!" Max grinned, and the two became fast friends, having many more adventures together. "You little rascal!" Professor Hootenanny exclaimed. "I should've known it was you!"
