THE UNEXPECTED ONE episode 2

#Nathaniel got to the palace few minutes later, he met the

king(Harold) with the queen (Arabella) walking around

the palace.

Eugene give a notice to The king that Nathaniel is here.

EUGENE: My lord, sir Nathaniel is waiting for you Sir

HAROLD: Tell him I'll join him shortly.

#Eugene left for Nathaniel immediately

EUGENE : The king will join you shortly

Nathaniel give a smiley face and nod his

head.

#Few minutes later, the king arrived

NATHANIEL: My lord. you sent for me

HAROLD: Have a seat. yes I did sent for you

NATHANIEL: Hope no problem sir?

HAROLD: No big issue,I want you to visits one of my old friend

for me, and give him this message . Tell him he

should prepare for a war coming from the east.

and please do tell him that he can bring his family here if

he wants to

NATHANIEL: My lord, does that mean we are not involve in the

war?

HAROLD: No Nathaniel, there is no way the east people will

cross our sea to fight us,we have a strong relationship

with them, and that is why they gave me this

message to pass to the people of the north.

NATHANIEL: My lord, I'll need more men to escort me,this is not

a one man job. This is a journey to the sea

HAROLD: I know that Nathaniel, I'll inform William( chief guard)to

give you the number of men you'll need.

NATHANIEL: When do I get to leave my lord?

HAROLD: this is an imagency, I want you to leave tomorrow

NATHANIEL: yes my lord.

# Nathaniel went back home to inform Rachel about his new

mission

.NATHANIEL: Rachel, the king sent me to the north., I'll leave by tomorrow

RACHEL :north? on the sea again?

NATHANIEL: woman, this is what I have been doing, and I will not stop now. this will not be my first time on the sea and it will be the last

RACHEL: yes you are right. the last time. your ship was attacked,you lost fifty men out of sixty of them. so what have you got to say?

NATHANIEL: what is your problem with that? are you here to count my defeat and loss for me? I will be gone again tomorrow.

By the way, you said we have words to discourse. shall we now?

RACHEL :I'm sorry if I provoked you.

I'm pregnant Nathan!

NATHANIEL: is this one form of a joke to came me down?

RACHEL: No, I'm pregnant and I'm afraid its a boy

NATHANIEL: A boy? how do you know that? do you know what you are saying at all?. the baby better be a girl. if you give birth to a boy,then we will be burnt alive . so you better know what you are saying

RACHEL: I thought all that through, and that made me visit Zack

NATHANIEL: Zack the old wizard?

RACHEL: yes . and he did confirmed to me that it's a boy.

NATHANIEL: when did you noticed this?

RACHEL,:three days ago

NATHANIEL: and you kept this away from me?

RACHEL: I'm sorry Nathan

NATHANIEL: what do we do now? this is a taboo,I don't know how to face this. This is bigger than me Rachel!

RACHEL: I don't know too, maybe we should leave this kingdom

NATHANIEL: I have a duty here, and this is our land

RACHEL: is it more important than the life's of your family?

NATHANIEL: you can't understand . A war is coming we don't know the kingdoms that are involved. the only thing I know is that we are not part of the war, so we stay here.

don't worry. we will pass through this.

RACHEL: I hope so. I'm really scared.

# Early in the morning,Nathaniel leave to the north, leaving his family behind

. # Rachel start to do more of indoor work than outdoor works so that people will not know that she is pregnant.

# Few month later,Nathaniel return with a message to the king from the north

NATHANIEL: My lord. I'm happy to see you

Harold : Me too Nathan, how are you and hope you delivered my message .

NATHANIEL :I do deliver your message. He said he appreciate your effort and he will prefer his family to be with him. finally he asked me to tell you that he'll visit you once the war is over

HAROLD : thank you Nathaniel,you may head home to your family now

NATHANIEL: thank you my lord.

#nathaniel head home.

it was late in the evening. Nathaniel saw his wife outside the house with his children,they ran into each other hugged tightly then kissed.

his children ware so happy to see their father again.

RACHEL: I'm so happy you are back Nathan,I know that you will always be back

NATHANIEL: yes my love,I will always be back home. How are you?

RACHEL: I'm fine, but can't stop thinking.

NATHANIEL: me too

# Nathaniel called for john,Edmund and Ann

NATHANIEL: Hope you took care of the farm?

John: yes father

ANN: I really missed you father

NATHANIEL: it's alright now,but that does not mean you should stop your duty, I might die at any time. that is one of the future A man can't see.so it is your responsibility to take care of your mother and your self, and you better do that with love.

#they all answered yes father in a chorus way.

RACHEL: we should find out what to do with the baby now, the baby will be out at any moment from now. people must not know about it . else we will be burnt alive

NATHANIEL: I know all this, you don't have to make this statement over and over again. What was Zack's advice ?

RACHEL: he said the baby must not be alive

NATHANIEL: what is the meaning of that?I should kill my own child with my hands?

RACHEL: am afraid so my husband

NATHANIEL: now I know the reason he does not have a family, cause I'll kill them all

RACHEL: don't talk like that, wizard a times don't have families you know?

NATHANIEL: that is a lie, I have seen hundreds of wizard with families and that didn't make them a fake wizard.

# Two night later,Rachel start felling that its time for her to deliver her baby.

NATHANIEL: what is the problem Rachel?

RACHEL: it is time, what do we do?

NATHANIEL: the most important thing is for you to give birth first, what if the baby happened to be a girl?

RACHEL: you are right

# Few hours later , Rachel delivers a baby boy as at foretold by the wizard.

RACHEL: you have to kill him now

NATHANIEL: what are you saying, kill my son?

RACHEL :yes, your coursed son

NATHANIEL: I can't believe you are saying this to me and this baby, what do you want his brothers and sister to think of us?

RACHEL: I'll rather have the baby killed in a peaceful way than to have all of us burnt alive.

NATHANIEL :then what is the excess of me telling my kid s to treat each other with love? when they see there father killing their own brother?

RACHEL: but they understand the reason we are doing it

NATHANIEL: I can't believe you are pushing this to me, why can't you kill him by your self?

RACHEL: you know I can't, and this is what you have been doing.

NATHANIEL: you mean killing kids, new born babies or killing my children?.

now I think you are depressed. listen to me woman, we will take this boy to the entrance of the next village,we might be lucky to have someone carry him

RACHEL: or a Wolf could feed on him?

NATHANIEL: what exactly do you want from me?this is our only option that has a positive phase and we will take it.. do you understand,

RACHEL: yes I do.

NATHANIEL: the children must not know about this

RACHEL: but what do we tell them when they ask for their baby?

NATHANIEL: we tell them that their baby sister died during birth simple.

RACHEL: when do we take him to the village

NATHANIEL :now

RACHEL: but its dark!

NATHANIEL :are we suppose to take him when people can see us? I think you really need a rest

RACHEL :don't talk to me like that Nathaniel

NATHANIEL: I'm sorry. But you don't have energy to take him, so you stay back home while I'll take him there.

RACHEL: this is my baby, so I can manage as long as we are not walking .

#Ann has been standing by the door post,listening to her parents discussion about their new brother and she could not help it but cried.

. # Ann followed her parent all the way without them knowing.

# Nathaniel dropped the baby beside a tree kissed the baby then left.

# Ann took the baby to the next village, while walking ,she saw a woman in the farm, she was so afraid to approach her,but when the woman noticed her. she called unto her.

WOMAN :young lady,what are you doing here by this time of the day with a baby in your hand.

ANN:I'm not from this village ma'am

WOMAN: you can call me Blanche, my husband owns the farm

ANN: my name is Ann.

BLANCHE: is this your baby?

ANN: yes, I mean no, I saw him by the woods so I thought I might find his parent around

BLANCHE: no good parent can dump their baby in the woods

ANN :I have to return him now

BLANCHE: and have the Wolfs feed on him?

ANN: there is no help I can give to him than this.

BLANCHE:can you please give me the baby? I promised to treat him like my own

ANN:why should I give him to you?

BLANCHE:I have been waiting for a child but I haven't gotten one , please give me this baby. I promise to take good care of him as my very own son, please.

ANN: on one condition will I release him to you

BLANCHE: what is it Ann,I'll do it

ANN :that I will be able to visit him every fourteen days.

BLANCHE :I will love to have you here my lady.

ANN :what name will you call him?

Blanche: I'll call him HARRY.

ANN :Harry?

BLANCHE: yes Harry, my father's name

ANN :alright you can take him now. but please keep your words.

I have to go now.

BLANCHE: you can stay till day break Ann.

ANN :thanks, you've done a lot for me already and also I have somewhere to be.

BLANCHE: thank you for this great gift young lady.

ANN: take care of him and your self..

# Ann left the baby with Blanche with a happy face,and went back home and acted as if nothing had happened.

.. the next morning,Rachel and Nathaniel called the children and told them their planed lies.
