The scent of silver and blood filled the air, thick and nauseating. My muscles tensed as I crouched behind a fallen tree, Kael beside me, both of us watching the old mining structure ahead. This was no ordinary hideout. It was fortified, too many guards, too much activity. The hunters had turned this place into their stronghold.
