Chapter 11 Disappearing into the hut, the earthen clay doors growled closed. Romulus and Remus followed the elder, darkness engulfing them. The twins, still wary, tensed in preparation. One by one, sigils of flame erupted on pyres around them. As their eyes began to adjust, images of werewolves adorned with robes and jewels, armor, and weaponry—a savage ancestry—became crudely inked across the walls. “What…what is this place?” Romulus, baffled by the images before him, raised his foot to step back in awe. “I wouldn't move backwards if I were you.” The soft voice of the elder spoke not aloud, but within his mind.
