Chapter 6 “Your majesty! Your majesty!” The urgency in Jorgand’s voice betrayed the severity of the information she wished to convey. She pushed aside the loosely hanging tent flap as she entered the armory. Esper, unfazed, continued her preparation for the battle at hand. “Your intel was correct, your highness. I was able to intercept a pair of assassins in the woods east of us.” Esper’s rapier sung as she abruptly turned, cutting the space between them. She cast an inspecting glance along its blade. “What was their target?” Shaking her head while knocking newly found foliage from her clothes, Jorgand replied, “They were after Prisha, your majesty…” Esper’s eyes glittered in rage.
