The next morning, I made my way to the stables. The autumn weather was beginning to turn cooler. Nearly a month had passed and the beginning of winter was already in sight. I travelled to the village as I had become used to doing daily to say hello to Fay and Grigori. Today, Sean did not join me. I spotted the metal smith who looked up at me on the horse and quickly darted his gaze away again. The villagers now knew to avoid me just like Dorian’s servants did.
