As I continued down the village path, every person I saw looked at me oddly. Just like Fay and Tania, they were amazed silent to see him alive. No one dared to talk to me. I had survived last night. I have recently discovered that they have had never seen someone emerge from the castle after Dorian invited them to dinner. Everyone was put in the dungeon under poison and sedatives to wait their turn at death. If I had not refused that chalice, it would be the same for me.
