-Mark! - I said into the receiver - Did you know that they will be at your place in the pact after your birthday? - I almost screamed. I was furious. From the other earphone I heard Mark yawning.
- Maria, I'm sleeping - he replied angrily - I found out today. I was supposed to tell you on Monday. It's a secret. Don't tell anyone about this. - We shouldn't talk about it on the phone.
- Nobody tells me anything - I said quietly. - Everybody hopes that you will be my mate. Tom wants that too. He doesn't want to be with me.
