CHAPTER 4 : THE DISAPPEARANCE

312 Words
THE DISAPPEARANCE That night, the castle was quiet and peaceful. Everyone thought the visitors were harmless friends, so the guards let their guard down. Everyone was asleep, including the King and Queen, exhausted from the day's activities. But deep in the shadows, the false friends were moving. "It is time," whispered the leader. His gentle face was gone, replaced by a cold, cruel expression. "Take the child. Leave no trace." They quietly sneaked into the royal nursery. There, sleeping soundly in his soft bed, was little Lunar. He looked so innocent, hugging his favorite toy. "Wake up, little Prince," the woman said in a strange, hypnotic voice. She waved her hand, and a dark mist filled the room. "We are going to a fun place." Lunar opened his eyes, looking confused and sleepy. "Mommy?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes. "Shhh... be a good boy," the man said, picking him up easily. Lunar tried to struggle, but his body felt heavy and weak. He could feel that these were not good people anymore. "DADDY! MOMMY!" Lunar cried out loudly, his small voice echoing in the room. "HELP ME!" But it was too late. With a flash of dark magic, they vanished into the night, taking the young Prince with them. Hours later, the sun began to rise. Elana woke up first, stretching her arms. She felt an unusual emptiness in the air. "Lunar?" she called out, walking towards his room. "Baby, wake up! It's morning!" But when she opened the door, her smile instantly faded. The room was empty. The bed was cold. Lunar was gone. "LANCEEEEEEEE!!!!" Elana’s scream pierced through the entire castle. Her voice was filled with terror and pain. Lance burst into the room in a second, his eyes wide with shock. He saw the empty bed, and his world suddenly stopped spinning. His son... his precious son was gone.
