THE TRACKING
Using their combined powers, Lance and Elana tracked the dark energy left behind by the enemies. It didn't take them long to find the location. They arrived at an old, abandoned temple deep within the forbidden forest. The place was covered in dark mist and felt cold and evil.
They hid behind the large trees, watching carefully.
There, in the middle of the open area, they saw them. The false friends were standing there, but they no longer looked noble or kind. Their clothes were torn, revealing dark, tattoo-like markings on their skin, and their eyes were glowing with wicked power.
And between them... was little Lunar.
He was sitting on the ground, looking tired and pale, but he was not crying anymore. Instead, he was looking at them with brave, silver eyes. He was hugging his knees, trying to stay strong just like his parents taught him.
"Look at him," the leader sneered, walking circles around the child. "So small, yet so bright. The power inside him is incredible. Once we extract his energy, we will become invincible!"
"You won't get anything from him!" Lunar shouted bravely, even though his voice was shaking a little. "My Daddy and Mommy are strong! They will come and punish you!"
The woman laughed loudly, a sound that was sharp and annoying. "Oh? Your parents? Do you think they can find you here? This place is hidden by our magic. They will never find us."
"They are already here," the man said suddenly, stopping. He sniffed the air. "I smell... Alpha blood. And... Royal Light."
Suddenly, a loud BOOM! echoed as two figures landed gracefully in front of them. Dust and leaves flew everywhere.
"WE ARE HERE!"
Elana’s voice was like thunder. Her eyes were glowing gold, and her hair seemed to float with her powerful aura. Beside her, Lance looked terrifyingly handsome, his body ready to tear anyone apart.
"You thought you could run away?" Lance growled, his eyes piercing through the enemies like daggers. "You took my son thinking we are just ordinary parents? Now... prepare to die."
