THE REUNION
"You think you can stand against us?" the leader roared, his body transforming into a monstrous shape. "We have the power of darkness! We are unstoppable!"
Lance did not waste a single second. With a loud growl, he lunged forward like a lightning bolt. BOOM! He collided with the enemy, sending shockwaves everywhere. Claws and fangs clashed, and the sound of fighting filled the air.
"Take care of the woman!" Lance shouted, not taking his eyes off his opponent.
Elana nodded, her hands glowing with brilliant golden light. "You won't touch my family ever again!"
She waved her arms, and powerful beams of light shot out, pushing the other enemies back. Her magic was pure and strong, burning away the darkness just like the sun burns the morning mist. It was too powerful for them to handle.
Within minutes, the false friends were lying on the ground, defeated and powerless. They looked shocked and terrified, realizing they had challenged gods.
Lance walked towards the leader, stepping on him hard. "Weak," he spat out coldly.
Quickly, Elana ran towards the small figure in the middle.
"Lunar! Baby!"
The little boy looked up. When he saw his Mommy running towards him with open arms, the bravery he was holding on to suddenly broke.
"Mommyyyyy!!!"
Lunar stood up and ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. He jumped into Elana’s arms, burying his face deep into her neck.
And there... he started CRYING AND SOBBING very hard. 😭😭😭
"Hiks! Mommy! I was so scared! Hiks! I thought I wouldn't see you anymore!" he cried, his small body shaking violently. "They are bad! They are so bad!"
Elana hugged him tightly, kissing his head over and over again, crying too. "Shhh... it's okay now, baby. We are here. Mommy and Daddy are here."
Lance arrived beside them, his fierce expression softening instantly. He knelt down and wrapped his big arms around both of them, forming a protective shield.
"Daddy is here, son. You are safe now," Lance whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "No one will hurt you ever again."
Lunar looked up at them, his face wet with tears, eyes red and swollen, but he smiled weakly. He hugged them both tightly, feeling the warm and familiar love he missed so much.
