Hazel sat silently in the car scrolling through her phone while Zion and I chatted endlessly as I drove, he was so excited to see William after a long while. I kept looking off the road and stealing random glances at Hazel and at some point, she noticed
“Will you keep your eyes on the road before you get us killed” she said without lifting her head. She kept her eyes fixed on her phone
“What makes you think my eyes aren’t on the road” I asked, pretending I didn’t know what she was talking about
“Because I can feel your stare" she said, finally lifting her head up.
“Well, I wasn't staring at you, so how did you feel my stare, except you want me to stare at you” I said, briefly taking my eyes off the road as I winked at her while Zion giggled
"What, no” she said suddenly
