To my complete and utter surprise, Austin hadn’t just spoken to Colin, but he had given permission for Monica to come along. I would have been lying if I said that the decision hadn’t surprised me, but I also knew that I needed to be quite careful, and I needed to make sure that I wasn’t being tricked here. Although I doubted that Monica would be in on it if there was something here that was amiss. But there was no way of knowing for sure.
