Prof. Sanderson's office
A week ago, that Satan and I were paired up for the project report. We both literally begged Prof. Sanderson to let us choose our own partner. That this partnership was a disaster.
"So you both agree that this partnership will doom you both?" he asked in a sincerely. We both nodded. "See? It's not that difficult. You managed to agree at one point. You can do it on other too," he grinned. Then there were other points we both have shared at that moment. That Prof. Sanderson is crazy and we both hate him at that moment and that we could do nothing now. The ship had sailed.
Prof. Sanderson had left but not before saying, "You two are my best students and this project needs to go to State Level. If you win, you'll be cleared to go to National Level. Work out your differences as if your grades depend on this project because at this moment, it really does."
That was it. We had no choice. The one thing I and this asshole who calls himself Cameron, we both cared about other than our massive egos, is grades. It's also the other reason for our never-ending hostility. But this wasn't a competition, it was teaming up. And that was what none of us could do.

"This is not the end of the world," my best friend confronted. "No. But it is the end of mine. Janice, I studied really hard for this semester but now it's all gonna go down because I'm partnered up with Cameron Hard-d**k of all people," I whined.
"C'mon. He himself has a GPA to maintain. Plus, you guys will be alright. Just talk to him. Split the work," she comforted.
"Like I tried this noon and we ended up this close to strangling each other to death?" I spat.
"Ohh look at you two. Already fighting like a married couple," she teased. "Yeah. If only married couples want to kill each other at mere sight," I said sarcastically. "All the time," she laughed. It was infectious. I started to laugh too.

"Listen, Crooked Nose, I really need to get good grades. And so does you. And that means we need to put up with each other for next one month. So let's make it easier for both of us and deal with it professionally. Get the damn project completed on time and we can go back to being enemies," I recited.
"How was it?" I asked my two best friends. Alberto Suave the nerd that helped me in hacking Hardwick's account in freshman year. He's red-haired with signature glasses. He's cute and a very good friend of mine.
Janice Davison, sleek black haired and olive skinned. Your typical girl next door. I call them Bert and Jan. "I think it will work. Cameron is a sucker for good grades," Bert said. "Yeah. Maybe it's the time you both sort things out. It has gone too far now," Jan said.
"And forget everything? Never. I don't forgive and forget Jan. I'm neither a saint nor an Alzheimer patient. He started it and I'll end it," I snapped. "Okay fine. Just calm down," she raised her hand apologetically.
This takes us to a day before today.
