When we returned to the forbidden palace, The Alpha was nowhere in sight making me relieved a bit. I sat on the bed weeping.
Winter had gone to tell the rest maids what they ought to do.
So this was my fate, sealed in a marriage without love till death. For how long would this thing go on? I needed to find something that would make me happy and forget all my pains and sorrows.
I was detested In my kingdom because I was human. I wasn't a werewolf or something extra ordinary. I couldn't read minds, see visions or even fight for myself.
Something was wrong with me.
Nobody called me, not even my father. I picked up my phone and checked the internet. No messages from anybody.
I felt so lonely and abandoned.
The Alpha appeared in the room. The smell of fresh blood filled the air. His long tongue dangled as he licked his dark lips .
"Scared huh? Feeling so lonely Selena. I had just left you for few hours and you are feeling abandoned"
"How did you know?" I asked and moved back in the bed.
His appearance was disgusting.
His Huge figure moved closer to the bed"I can read minds."
I swallowed hard"I forgot about that. I.. haven't talked to you about the way. ......"
He interrupted"The way what?"
I shrank back in fear. He was too scary, how on earth did they allow such creature to live?
" I... am in love with another man"I blurted out without knowing why I said it.
His eyes changed immediately, I could see fire and anger in them. I knew he was not happy.
" What did you say? "He asked.
Before I could answer I was hanging in the air with one of his hand In my neck choking me.
Hot tears poured as I coughed.
" You are in love with another man huh? "Hundreds of voices started talking again.
For some unknown reason he left me and I dropped on the wooden floor.He took my phone and squeezed it into pieces.
"I would play my role as your wife without any problems" I continued without looking up.
"You would do that without being told"
"I want another house far from the palace.I request you do not ask me what I wish to do with it."
She expected a negative response from him but instead he just walked away.
Winter came in .She helped me stand up.
" Did he come here?"She asked and without answering I just embraced her.
Suddenly I felt his presence again.
" Winter"But she had disappeared from the room.
" Tell me,I gave you a chance to leave but you chose to stay and now you are planning to run away from me."He was more angrier.
His eyes burning in fury,his hands folded in a fist.
" No I just want to......
"You are scared of me?I disgust you"
"Yes,I have been scared my whole life.I have been treated like an outcast just because I am human.Is it a crime?"
"What!"
He hesitated and then his eyes closed.The next thing he was on the floor.
I was startled.What had happen?
"Alpha?" I called but no response.
I panicked.What had happened?
I checked if he was breathing and he was.I silently thanked my creator.
He looked like a giant .As i watched him i became curious . It was said that he was cursed from birth but why? Nobody knew why or how. He was cursed to be a beast .
I wanted to touch his head when his eyes suddenly opened and I fell back in fear.
He pulled me closer and pushed me to a corner in the room.
"Please don't hurt me''I begged as he stood up.
He howled" Selena''

The Alpha provided the house I requested for .I hadn't seen him after that day.I received the news through his masked servant who said whenever I was ready he would take me there.
For once I felt happy,I wanted to experience life outside the palace but it was to be a secret.
One night I came back from my new house and found the Alpha in the bedroom. I cared less about him and was about to leave when he spoke.
" You are late"
" I didn't prepare on time and I forgot my cloak.I had to go back to get it"
" You entered into a convenant with me remember?I can see through your lies Selena''I winced in pain as his fingernails pierced deep in my neck.
"Please don't hurt me and I would serve you with all my heart"
" You have become a part of me. You can't survive without me "
He disappeared.
When I woke up in the morning Winter came in to inform me that he had left the Kingdom to another kingdom.
" What is he going to do there? "I asked.
" I don't know but I heard the maids say he normally leaves the Kingdom when it's almost a full moon"
I sighed.
I took my bath, ate hastily and walked around the forbidden palace. I noticed a very beautiful garden at the back. I hadn't notice it before.
As I took a walk around with Winter we saw a very beautiful lady wearing flowery dress watering the flowers.
She smiled" Hi"
I smiled back and went to where she was .
" Who are you? "I asked politely." I haven't see you around here before"
" Yes I only came because The Alpha asked me to come"
" He told you that himself? "
" Yes, have a nice day"She smiled and walked away.
" Who is she? "I asked Winter.
A maid approached and I used that opportunity to ask her.
" Oh, that's the Alpha's Mate"
"His mate?" I asked.
"Yes, her name is Lydia. She's respected because the Alpha doesn't allow anyone to bully or hurt her. He protects her and could kill for her sake"
" That's cool"I was uncomfortable
I had a feeling that I had seen her somewhere but I just couldn't remember.
FORSYTHE POV.
I could not stop thinking about Carmen's wife. She was so beautiful and her fair skin radiated like the morning sun. I wondered how she was coping with that monster dressed up as the Alpha.
"My Lord, Are you alright?" Yvonne asked. I quickly blanked my mind so she couldn't read my mind.
"Sure, why are you here?" I asked.
She became uneasy as she spoke quietly "I was expecting to see you in my chamber as you promised but you did not show up"
I became more annoyed"Does that give you the right to come here?"
"Forgive me my Lord" She quickly apologized.
I was venting my anger on her"I would see you later"
She bowed and took her leave.
"Melo" I called and he walked in. He was my most trusted guard.
"Go and keep a close eye on the forbidden palace"
He nodded and left immediately.
