“Yeah,” Liam responded lazily,” she requested we get married in a month. I just have so much going on right now, and I don’t think this is the best time to be talking about marriage. But she wouldn’t listen.” He added, pulling up at a bar along the road.
“But, why did she just request that all of a sudden? Did you both fight?” Paul asked, still in shock.
“Seriously man, it’s a long story. Don’t even know where to begin. Maybe some alcohol will make me forget some of my troubles.”
They both got down, and headed for the entrance to the bar, however, at the very last second, Paul pretended like he had just received a call, and excused himself.
“Go in, I’ll be right behind you,” he said, tapping Liam on the shoulder.
Liam nodded, stepping into the bar.
