Chapter 48 – Maya’s POV
“You did this…?” I whispered, my voice trembling.
Liam’s eyes widened. “No, Maya,” he stuttered.
“Why?” My voice broke. “Why would you?”
“Listen to me, Maya. I didn’t ask them to do this.” He tried to touch me, but I crawled back, fighting the tears about to fall down my eyes.
“Don’t touch me,” I spat.
“At least let me loosen the rope from your hands,” he pleaded.
He quickly moved behind me and began untying the rope. “I’m sorry,” he muttered. “I didn’t ask them to do all of this.”
