The wedding reception was still buzzing when I slipped away from the crowd.
My sister Emily looked like a princess in her white lace gown, laughing as she danced with her new husband, Alex. But my eyes kept drifting to him.
Alex.
Tall, broad-shouldered, with dark hair and piercing blue eyes that made my stomach tighten every time he looked my way. He was my brother-in-law now. Off-limits. Forbidden.
Yet the moment our eyes met across the room, something dark and electric passed between us.
