Heavy rain hit the roof loudly. The house felt big and empty because my parents were not home . I told myself I would be okay alone, but I was wrong.
Suddenly, the power went out and it became very dark. I felt scared. I have always hated storms. The loud thunder made me feel small and nervous, just like when I was a child.
