Chapter 49

In a gloomy forest, with a faint moonlight penetrating through the thick forest. Sounds of crickets and growls of a beast can be heard from time to time.

An inconspicuous beast was running through the forest with great speed, as though it was a fish swimming freely on a vast sea. This beast was a wolf as big as a bull, its fur was green, and has a green gem on its forehead. Moreover, it has a sharp fang that can easily break a buffalo's neck. In this dark forest, its conspicuous glowing green eyes can make a Tier1 beast run for its life.

It stopped, the wolf sniffed the ground, raised its nose high up in the air, like it was tracking something. Then running towards the direction, where Fendrel killed the two Tier1 Wolf. After arriving at the place, the wolf growled with resentment, then used a wind blade. The Tier1 beast, who was happily munching the remnants of a Tier1 wolf, was suddenly cut in half. It twitched for some time before it died.

Looking closely at his packs, the wolf emits a sad lowly growl, it raised its head into the sky. In the next moment, a heart-wrenching howl reverberated every corner of the forest.

Warm sunlight that slipped through the thick forest, hit Fendrel's face waking him up. Fendrel jumps down from the tree, he then stretches his stiffed muscle, from sleeping on that uncomfortable tree.

After all that, Fendrel then continues his journey, on finding a Tier2 beast. After walking for half an hour, he was attacked by a Rocky Bear. This beast defense was high, because of its skin that was hard as a rock. However, it was only a Tier1 beast, so it didn't pose a threat to Fendrel and killed it after five minutes of fighting it.

After killing it, Fendrel didn't peel the skin off. Firstly, he doesn't have a clue, how to skin it. Moreover, he doesn't need it anymore, even though it's hard to make it an armor, he already has iron that about to arrive.

So, he only peeled some meat of the Rocky Bear. Although the bear looked like its meat was hard to eat. However, on the contrary, it was a delicacy, it was tender and soft.

After storing the meat on the system, Fendrel continued. Walking deeper into the forest, Fendrel fought a fair amount of Tier1 beast, but still can't find a Tier2 beast.

Fendrel sighed inside helplessly, he planned to walk for another hour. However, if he still can't find a Tier2 beast. Then, he will abandon finding it for now, and go back to the village, he doesn't want to spend another night in the forest.

After killing the last Horn Rabbit, realization dawn on him. 'Ohh... Weirdly, there's no pack of wolves attacking me today. I guess, they had learned their lesson.' Fendrel shrugged the thought of it, and continue on walking.

Fendrel who was fighting a Tier1 Flame Tiger, he called it Flame Tiger, because it can spew fireball. Fendrel instinctively dodged by jumping to his side, then a growled of pain followed suit. It was the Flame Tiger that got cut in half, it already died.

He ignored the Flame Tiger, and turned his body on his right side, then hurriedly placed his sword on his front, shortly after.

"KLIING"

Fendrel successfully blocked the attack, which was coming at him at a great speed. He then jumps backward, to gain distance from the attacker. Looking ahead, Fendrel was surprised to find a wolf looking at him fiercely, as though it was looking at his mortal enemy.

'Why the heck this Wolf, looks so familiar... That's right it looks just like those wolves that keep on attacking me yesterday... I guess its gazed is justified.' Fendrel thought, smiling wryly.

"Ohh, are you here to take revenge on me for killing your packs." Fendrel smiled like an evil person.

As though, the wolf understands what Fendrel said. It barked at him and growled fiercely. While they were in a still meant Fendrel used the 'Eye Of Truth'.

Fendrel was not surprised, knowing that the wolf was a Tier2 beast. For the current him, anyone who can pose a threat to him needs at least a Tier2 being. So he already anticipated it, since that beast almost succeeded in its sneaked attack.

Suddenly the wolf howled onto the air, the next moment, the wind elemental around its vicinity stirred. Shortly after, it gathered together and formed a three Tier1 Wolf.

"Ohh, you have some skills." Fendrel exclaimed in amazement. Fendrel thought that it should be an innate power since the beast can't possibly learn a skill.

The growled lowly, then all the three Tier1 Elemental Wolf attacked together. The first Elemental Wolf tried to bite his right leg, so he slashed his sword towards it. However, his sword just penetrates the elementals body without any resistance, as though he hit an air.

However, Fendrel was not surprised about it, contrary he smirked. When his sword was already on the center of the Elemental's body. Fendrel hurriedly coated his sword with fighting energy, Wolf Elemental that was okay earlier, was now writhing in pain, before dissipating.

The other two Elemental that was about to attack, stopped on their track seeing their companion getting chopped in half. The Tier2 Wolf barked, like commanding the two to come back. The two Elemental immediately backed away.

"You are pretty smart for a beast." Fendrel said. The beast didn't attack him, so it should be because it's testing him.

Now that Fendrel already used the Fighting Energy, the Wolf would think of him as a Master Swordsman. And would become vigilant of him.

"Now then, let's start the round two." Fendrel coated his sword with a Fighting Energy, then dashed towards the Wolf fearlessly. The Wolf didn't back down, a wind elemental swirled around its feet, it then sprints towards Fendrel with great speed. Greater than Fendrel's speed.
