Amelia “Good morning.” Blinking the sleep out of my eyes I sat up. Yawning. My whole body felt stiff, my eyes gritty. I always felt like absolute crap if I fell asleep upset and I could pretty much guarantee I looked worse than I felt. “Morning Gabby, where is Dewi.” I listened c*****g my head. The place was silent. There was no tv blaring cartoons , no sound of giggles filling the apartment. It was as silent as a tomb. Not a good omen. “Where’s Dewi and Rhydian?” She looked guilty. And my stomach fell into my toes. “They have gone out. David wanted to surprise you with a gift and Rhydian went with him but…” Her eyes shifted and I knew something was wrong. “But what Gabby?” “The council are here.” She almost whispered it. Her eyes terrified. I blinked. Had Dewi left me alone
