Chapter 4: The Wrong Place, At The Right Time

888 Words
ZAIRE The Next Day I entered into the underground of the big mansion of Wolfe. He is the f*****g boss....at least for now. No one owns me and they all damn well know it. The day any man thinks otherwise is the day I put a bullet through his damn skull and Martin bags the corpse and makes it disappear.. Just like Tom. f*****g cocksucker. Look around and notice shits that happen as I walk pass. Conversations halt. Men get the f**k outta my way. Some motherfuckers pretend to do their shoelaces. They fear me. They avoid me. Smart bastards. "Where's Boss." I asked a bastard I can't even remember his name. "In the inner room." He replied, walking away from me quickly I sauntered past the door to the inner room and entered. Boss was balls deep into a b***h, ramming hard and deep while music played in the background. "Zaire. You're here?" His voice was breathless. "What's going on?" "There's a client in town. Landed this morning." He rammed into the b***h again. "Want me to kill him?" "Hell no, Zaire! f**k, does everything end with killing for you?" I blinked once and just stared at him. I wonder how else things are supposed to end if not with the motherfucker six feet below.....or dangling off the mouth of a bush wild animal. "I want you to protect the client." Boss groaned as he came balls deep into the moaning big-assed b***h. I reared back in surprise. "I don't protect. I kill. You know." "I know, Zaire. But this client is important or I would have one of them douchbags here on the job but I don't want s**t to go haywire." "Who's he? Druglord, Trafficker or Smuggler?" I asked, quite reluctantly. This day couldn't get any worse. "Trafficker." "Women or Children?" "Both." "Why does the bastard need protection?" I growled. "Because, some months ago in Boston, Felaray kidnapped a high Druglord's daughter and sold out to the Arabs. Dragona got his precious daughter back after two weeks of being sold." "Motherfucker." I grunted. This dickhead Felaray must be f*****g dumb to fall into a mess with Dragona. No bastard messes with Dragona and live to tell the tale. "Yeah. So, Dragona is out for Felaray's head, and Felaray has been on the run ever since." If the damn job had been to kill the bastard I would have already been on my way to do so, no questions asked. I kill for the money, that's my job. My job ain't to ask questions. But if I'm gonna f*****g babysit a damn trafficker I gotta ask why. "Why are you protecting the asshole?" I asked bluntly. Boss's b***h had gone to the bathroom to clean up, and he turned to me and just shrugged. "There's a connection he has and I want." Good enough. "How much." "Twelve grand." "Where do I find this motherfucker?" AURELIA I can't stop thinking about him. Even his name is like him. Zaire. Intense....very intense. Since yesterday, I find myself thinking about him, he’s refused to leave my head. He has me scared with everything about him. His body and his face. His vulgar words. His....dark intensity. I sighed as I gathered the red roses and went out to meet my customer who's an older woman. I handed her the roses, "Your granddaughter will love this one." "It smells great, my child." The old woman smiled. "It's Roses, Granny. Children love it, especially little girls." "Thank you so much, my dear." Granny said as she paid. I smiled and waved her goodbye. Seeing that there's no other customer, I was a bit relieved. I wanted to use the bathroom, and I can't use mine now because the plumber hasn't come to fix the broken flusher. I closed up the shop and made my way to the shop opposite mine, which is a bar. I entered and walked straight to the counter. The men were staring at me in that way that makes my skin crawl but I ignored the feeling. "I-I want to use your bathroom." I whispered to the bartender. "This way, ma'am." The young boy gestured to his left with a kind smile. I thanked him and headed to the restroom. I stepped through the first door and closed it behind me. Just as I reached for the toilet stall, the sound of voices froze me in place.. "No one must find out about this, Scorpion. No one." Came a deep low voice. "No one will know, Felaray. I will keep it quiet, I promise." No one will know what? Keep what quiet? Why do I get the feeling I just stepped into something big? I was still on the dreadful thought when the door opened. Two men came out. One looked a bit older, the other was hefty and mean-looking. They were both creepy. When they saw the shocked me standing there, their eyes turned dangerous. "How much did you overhear!?" Hefty one barked at me. "Scorpion, easy on the Angel." The older one drawled as he raked his eyes all over me in a very creepy way. "Now, how much did you overhear, Angel?" Who are this people? Overhear what? Why do I get the feeling that they won't just let me walk out of here easily?
