Stella's POV A sudden shake in my apartment woke me up from my tender sleep. I have never experienced any quakes since i moved into my apartment building, and Los Angeles; the city i am currently living in wasn't a city known for having earthquakes. "So what the hell caused the quake that just made my entire apartment vibrate intensively?" I ask myself as i slowly raise my head up from the reading table i had fall asleep. "Wait!" I screamed and reach out to my mobile phone on the side to check what the time was. "s**t! I am late. I am f*****g late." These two sentences ringed in my mind after checking the time and finding out i was about an hour late for work. "s**t!" I uttered and jump off the reading table and race to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I swear, the tiredness that comes from working in a busy corporation in one of the busiest cities in California was probably one of the reasons why i overslept, while the other was cause i was working my butt off all night on a special project i had to summit today. A very special and life changing project that hopefully is going to guarantee my promotion and a personal office. "You are fired." "That pretty blonde b***h is going to fire you." "You are so fired STELLA!" The voices in my head repeatedly reminded me how screwed i am as i hurryingly put on my office outfit and arrange the files my project was drawn in. "Leave me alone god damnit!" I couldn't stand the negativity so i screamed back at the voices in my head like some sort of a crazy person. I am not crazy though. I'm just tense. "Where the hell is it?!" I shouted after suddenly remembering that i needed to pack my hair. "god damnit! Where the hell is that hairband?" I eagerly said as i nervously search through my tiny apartment for the only hairband i had. I seriously needed to pack my hair cause of how full and tangled the water from the shower now made it look. "There you are you rascal." I muttered in relief after spotting the band on the floor close to my flats. And without wasting any time i quickly pick it up and use it to tie up my dark blonde hair into a ponytail style. I am so much in a hurry that i didn't even bothered wearing any makeup, lipstick or perfume. I just put on my flats, grab the pile of files i designed my projects on, grab my keys, grab my hand bag which had my mobile phone and some money inside and then storm out of my apartment. My apartment building had a quiet and long corridor which leads to a small size elevator situated just at the end of the corridor. It's been two months since i moved to this city and this building and everytime i go out i always wondered why the hell does a three storey building have a elevator. The elevator has always been a useless piece of iron that nobody especially me uses. But today that i am dead late for work, and spending five whole minutes using the stairs is not an option, I decided to use the elevator for the first time. Thankfully the building i lived in was occupated by mostly young people in their mid 20s; who prefer using the stairs than the elevator. So knowing that nobody uses the elevator, and i won't expect any sudden interruptions. I used the little time i had in it to loosen my bra because i had hurryingly put it on and now the pin connecting the bra pads together was poking my medium size boobs. And with the help of the elevator mirror for navigation, i slightly pulled off my office sleeves, unpinned the bra and carefully try to pin it back so that it won't pock me anymore. "There..." "s**t!" I muttered in distress after both pins suddenly loose away from each other, seconds after pinning them together. One of them even bounce out of the bra and land close to the elevator door. "Sigh!" "This is so not my day." I abruptly said, and bend down towards the elevator door to pick up the pin while holding my boobs in place with my left hand. "DING!" The elevator doors suddenly slide open and a sense of dread creep into my mind. I know for a fact that nobody in this building uses the elevator, so there is no way someone will use it now. And i also know i haven't gotten to the last floor yet, cause if i had did, the elevator open button will be blinking continuously before it automatically open by itself. "So why the hell is the elevator suddenly open?" This question breeze through my mind as i pause in the position i was. "Hmm excuse me?" A slightly pale but masculine voice suddenly spoke out to me from outside the elevator and my heart skipped a beat. "Wha--" "What are you doing?" The man asked while still standing outside the elevator. "Are you okay?" The man asked again but this time in a confused tone.
