Chapter Twenty-One
What the hell had she been thinking? The anxiety of her decision to take off with Justin hit her like a wrecking ball as he turned down her driveway, the dust flying. He was talking nonstop about the rodeo, his trailer, his plans or something. She didn’t have a clue, because she’d stopped listening. Instead, here she was, realizing a whole lot of things, like how early it was in the day, since it was just after lunchtime and they were now driving to her place. How would she ever tell her parents? The magnitude at which her mom and dad would lose it on her, she couldn’t even begin to fathom. Leaving this weekend meant right after the wedding, a time when everyone was already stressed, and then there was the job with Cameron. Maybe that was why she felt so sick.
