Chapter 2 The Journey

Our first stop on our journey, visiting the pack territories, was Madies pack; Dark Moon pack. We've been on the road for 3 hours, for what seems like forever, and we still have 3 hours left. Bradshaw insisted that we take the back roads to avoid rouges on the way. Madie looked so excited about going home to her mate and her son. The whole ride she's been going on about what we have to see when we get there, but mostly she talks about her family. I'm so happy for her and Max. They look like a power couple. As she talks about how exciting her new home is, I drift away into my thoughts.

What if they don't like me? What if I never receive my wolf? Is my dad really an alpha? While I'm trapped in my thoughts, I end up drifting asleep dreaming. Dreaming of what life was like before Alpha Steve came into my life. Mom and I used to go to the beach every weekend so I could play in the sand. We used to go away on trips a lot before. Since she mated with Steve, we haven't done anything fun together. Now that I think about it, I don't really see my mom much anymore. She's always so busy with tending to Luna's priorities or training my brothers Junior and Luther. Once she got too busy for our weekend beach day; Madie and I used to go together. As I dreamed, a nonfamiliar voice came to me. "Danger".

I looked around to find a figure in the distance running towards me saying "Danger Danger" over and over again till finally the figure was standing right in front of me. A tall, beautiful, silver, wolf with big blue eyes like the ocean was staring at me. "Who are you" I asked. The wolf tilts its head to the side and says through a mind link. "I am Tiff your wolf. You're in danger" she said. Before I could say anything else, I woke up to Madie and vigorously shaking me awake. "Wake up Roni!" as she was screaming at me "Rouges are chasing us". I started to panic because I've heard of rouge attacks, and how violent they can be. I sat up and looked out the back window and, sure enough, there were three rouges chasing us.

"I've mind link Max and told him about the rouges. Alpha Alex and his best warriors are on the way" Madie tells Bradshaw. He's trying maneuvers to lose the rouges. We weren't sure if it was working but we realized the rogues pulled back. When we thought we were in the clear of the rogues, something hit us from the side. Throwing the car tumbling off the road. I'm not sure how many times the car flipped before it came to a stop. I must have blacked out from hitting my head at some point because I went to rub my head and there was blood on my hand. My head was ringing so badly that I could barely make out what was being said "Roni...Rouges...Help..." I heard a bunch of growling so I unbuckled my seat belt and tried to open the door but it was stuck shut. I crawled out the window across the shattered glass, cutting my arm, hands and legs.

I struggle to stand up with the amount of pain I am to see Oliva and Bradshaw shifting into their wolves. Madie ran to me to make sure I was okay. She looks around for a cloth to put on my head and finds a piece of either Oliva or Bradshaws' clothes that they shredded when they shifted. "Here use this to put pressure on your cut on your head..." We hear a whine coming from Bradshaws wolf David; one of the rouges had their mouth on the back of his neck there was a huge amount of blood coming from his wound. Oliva's wolf Sky had one of the rouges by the neck and ripped out his throat when she was attacked by a much bigger rouge. Madie looked at me with concern. "Please be safe". She shifted into her wolf, Octavia. I admired her wolf; she was dark gray with silver-like hair and beautiful hazel eyes.

Octavia didn't hesitate to lunge at the rouge that had his jaw on the back of David's neck flinging him around in the air. She knocks the rouge off of David, then grabs him by the neck and snaps it. Due to the injury, David had shifted back to Bradshaw. I ran to him trying to help him and he refused to "run". He tried to say, "No. I'm not leaving you here", I heard howls in the distance; shortly after the howls, six wolves showed up. One was this midnight black with bright green eyes and was massive compared to the other wolves. That must be Alpha Alex, I think myself. One of them was black like the night with yellow eyes with a hint of green and two of them were salt and pepper-colored fur with yellow eyes. One was dark chocolate brown with silver eyes that must be Max; Madie always talked about Max and his wolf Darrius. I'm unsure who the snow-white wolf with big soft blue eyes is; but I catch his scent of what smells like sweet pinecones with a hint of green apples. His scent makes me want to melt.

The snow-white wolf comes to me and nudges me and looks me in the eyes very intensely. I'm not sure what it is about this wolf but he is turning me on. I move slightly enough that I realize that the between my thighs are extremely wet. The wolf sniffs me and grins at me before taking off after the last rouge that attacked us. Thoughts are racing through my mind. Why were we attacked? What did they want? Who is this wolf? Why am I attracted to him? Why is my lower region wet? With all the blood I lost, I ended up blacking out.

Dylan P.O.V

"Harder, Dylan, harder!" this pack w***e is screaming at me. I'm ball's deep in this b***h, smacking her ass, making her scream louder and louder. Oh f**k, this is turning me on so badly, I think to myself. It felt so good till a mind link came through. "Everyone met me at the east gate. There was a rouge attack" said Alpha Alex, saying, demanding. I replied, "Yes, Alpha, I'll be there in five minutes". f**k just as I was starting to enjoy this. I ran to the east gate where I ran up with Alpha Alex, his son Edward, Beta Max, Lead Warrior Samuel and Samuel's son Ben. "Alpha Steve's daughter and her companions are under attack by rouges an hour out from the boarder and need our help", Alpha Alex says concerning. "Okay and thats our problem why. She's not even an Alpha's daughter..." I started to say before Alex growled at me. "No matter who she is, they still need our help. There are three rouges; one being The Lord rouge. They stand no chance. Plus, one of the companions is Max's wife Madie."

When Alpha said The rouge lord my blood started to boil. His rouges and he slaughtered my whole pack and my parents when I was a couple of weeks old. Alex and his wife, Luna Rose, came and rescued me and took me in as their own. When I came of age, they created the Delta position for me, since I wasn't a son by blood but wanted to give me a title so, everyone could show me respect. Even though the pack accepted me as one of their own. Before Alpha Alex could say anything else, I shifted to my wolf, Zach; Zach was a slightly larger wolf; not as large as Alpha Alex Wolf Jet; with snow-white fur with soft blue eyes.

Everyone else shifted into their wolves and we started to run as fast as we could, since it's only a 30 minute run to where the attack was at. As we ran, I got a small scent of cherry blossoms and freshly cut grass that attracted my attention and I started to slow down from the others. My wolf Zach is going crazy over this scent chanting Mate...Mate, over and over again. We noticed that the sent is coming from the direction of the attack. We started running faster than we ever had before to get to this sweet, sweet smell of our mate.

As we get closer, the scent of our mate gets stronger; Zach and Darrius howl as we get closer to our mates. The group finally got to the scene of the attack. Alpha Alex lunges at the rouge that is attacking Oliva's wolf and snips him at his back leg and he scurries off into the night. Alex, Ben, Samuel and Edward chase after the last rouge. Max is checking on the injured and what seems to be his wife. As I'm about to chase after the rouge lord, but that scent I've come to used to smelling leads me to a girl with blood running down her face. I nudge her to see if she knows we are mates but she's looking at me confused. "She must not be of age yet", I said to myself. I sniff her, inhaling her scent and I get a scent of something that I know so well. "Shes wet...mmm... Roni's P.O.V

I can hear noises of machines beeping and sounds of a ventilator. "Damn, I must be in a hospital" I thought to myself. It feels like my eyes are glued shut to where I can't open them. "Why can't I open my eyes?" "You're in a coma. I tried my best to heal us but it wasn't enough. You hit your head pretty hard" a familiar voice says. I turned around quickly to be met by this beautiful silver wolf with blue eyes. "Your the wolf from my dreams..." "My name is Tiff and I'm not imaginative. I'm your wolf; the other half that makes us whole" as she comes closer to me she rubs her face into my chest. " I've waited a thousand years to meet you, Roni..." before she could say another word I step back confusingly. "What do you mean by a thousand years" I say. " Us wolves have been around for millennium's. We were made by the Moon Goddess and Sun God to create peace throughout the land".

Tiff and I talked for what seemed like hours about the nature of wolves and what our connection is to one another. When, suddenly, I woke up to Madie holding my hand squeezing it in what seemed like fear. My attention was attracted by the sweet smell of pinecones and green apples. As I looked to see who was holding it, my other hand. I'm met with this tall handsome man with soft blue eyes, dark brown luscious hair and a well-built body; he has this tight tank top on that reveals and caresses his muscles. "Damn I wouldn't, mine calling him daddy" my wolf says through our mind-link. "You're such a horny wolf Tiff". "This must be the wolf from the attack"

Dylan P.O.V

We chased the Rogue Lord off of our pack territory when Alpha Alex tells us to turn back. As much as I want to keep following the rouge, Zach doesn't want to. Instead he wants to check on his mate. I never wanted to have a mate because I could never see myself settling down with this one girl when I could have a different one every night. As the group runs, we get to the East Gate and the guards hand us some clothes to be able to shift back into our human form. "We need to go see, mate" Zach says with concern through our mind link. "We will... but I need to shower and tend to something's before we go see her" Zach whines before he says "You just want to see that whore..." before he could say another word I push him to the back of my mind. I ran back to my room and I was surprised by not just Amanda but also another girl I had f****d before.

"Delta... I hope you don't mind but I asked Becky to join us for some fun, since you had so much fun saying her name earlier", Amanda says as Becky chimes in,"We were getting bored waiting for you sir. I walked to the pack hospital.

I walked through the front doors and heard Alpha and the doctor talking. "She is all healed up but her concussion did some damage. The only thing that could help her out of a coma is her mate" Doctor James said. "Her parents said that she has yet to find her mate because she's not of age yet." Alpha Alex said concerningly. I looked at them disapprovingly. "What if my wolf says I'm her mate? Could I help at all?". "Yes. It could be possible. I mean it's never been heard of. But its worth a try." James says to me as he leads me to Roni's room. As we get closer, the scent of cherry blossoms and freshly cut grass gets stronger. Finally, we get to her room and I see all these different machines hooked up to my mate. My heart begins to ache as Zach whines to see her in so much pain.

I went over to the side of Roni's bed and I gave her a brief kiss on her forehead where her injury was last night. Alpha gives me a chair so I'm able to sit by her side. "I'll excuse your duties till she is well. She needs you more Dylan" Alpha Alex says to me as he walks out. "Thank you Alpha". I sat next to Roni holding her hand for hours till Max and his wife Madie came in. At first Madie growled at me till Max told her I was Roni's mate. She looked at me with uncertainty and she went to the other side of Roni to hold her hand. We sat there for two days waiting for her to wake up. Till all of a sudden, we started to feel our hands being squeezed by Roni's as she woke up. She looked at Madie and then quickly looked at me. When my eyes met hers, I knew from that moment that she was the one. The one I fell in love with at first sight.
