  “It’s not that I still have feelings for this man,” Eli watched as she paused with a sigh. “All these events happened at the same time, making my perfect life tumble to its death.” He cringed as she tried to giggle the situation away. “Maybe it wasn't perfect, but at the time, I believed it was.”            “I don’t want to give any excuses for anyone, but Stephanie wouldn’t get involved with a man with a prior commitment.” Eli had known Stephanie for a long time. Although he believed Tory, he found it hard to believe Stephanie would play into that game.                  “Your right. When Theodore met her, he managed to hide everything from her.
