Chapter 6: Meadow

10 minutes had pass and Luke still calling with someone outside the car. The rashes didn't worsen maybe the antihistamine started working on my system. It's always happened to me whenever I ate Crustaceans but I just cant avoid them since Crustaceans is one of my favorite ever.

I put on my jacket, removed my ponytail and let my wavy hair messed up, put the other part on the front almost covering on half of my face and jump out of the car and walked to Luke's direction. He then turned his head like he's aware im coming to him and walked fast toward my direction to meet me halfway.

"My friend told that I should bring you to the ER to get medical attention immediately, you are just human and if something bad happen to you I dont if, if I am still alive tomorrow coz bailey will totally kill me."

He said while holding my shoulder with his both hands

"Hey, it's okay. look, the rashes starting to disappear. I know myself more than anyone so if I really needed to see a doctor then I'll go right away to the hospital. Trust me, I dont wanna die right now and right here." I said while trying to get away from his touch and luckily he loosen his hands on my shoulder and totally removed it.

"Sorry, Im just worried about you. You know, you're here in my town and under my custody right now so your safety is my priority." He said proudly while we were walking toward the car. "We'll go to Thunderwood college once your rashes completely gone. And We'll have a lunch at my house." He added when we were inside the car while looking to the front with worried in his eyes. Maybe he's worried that I might turn down his invitation to have lunch at his house.

"Okay, that's sounds good." I casually said.

"Thanks, My mum is very much excited to meet you." He then said and you can see how happy he is base on his facial expression.

He turned the car to the corner at the left side of the road and I can say we're heading to the forest since all I can see is trees and grasses.

"Why did you left Millwood?" He asked trying to broke the silent.

"Too crowded." was my short answer.

"What about your parents? And siblings?"

"Im alone."

"What do you mean by you're alone?"

"My parents is dead and im their only child."

"Ohh, Sorry."

"That's the reason why you shouldn't dig someone's life. You might hit the wrong botton." I replied trying to be mean. But it seems that he's unaffected of it at all.

"Boyfriend?" He shortly asked like his face looks like he's hoping for No answer.

"I was well loved by mum and dad, I was focused on studies. I hate parties so nobody dates me."

"Interesting." He said, amused.

"Where are we now?" I asked. He maybe a kindhearted person but who knows what might this looks is hiding.

"In the forest. Trying to calm your hormone so that rashes will go away." He said smiling at me. When he already done parking, we both got out of the car and my reaction was priceless with what I just saw.

"Oh wow! I cant believe that I am totally in front of this beautiful, world class view." I exclaimed and I can see luke's eyes brighten with my excitement.

"You wanna take a picture?" He asked.

"Yes, please. this one is something worth capturing." I said still in excitement while grab my phone in my pocket. "Ugh, my phone is dead. I did forgot to charge it last night. Hm, I'll a picture next time maybe." I frowned.

"I can take it with mine, then. I'll transfer it to you later, when we get home." He said while holding his phone up in the air. He looks more excited than me.

"Thanks, then." I said while heading to a place where the great view is. He took so many pictures in different angle and asked if he have a picture with me.

"Since my gallery is already loaded with your photo, can I have atleast one selfie with you?"

"No problem. We can have as much as you want. It's just a photo you know, you can just delete it if you wanted to, anytime." My respond turned him to silent. So after taking a few selfies, he opened the back of his jeep and invited me to sit there with him and offered me a chips.

"You come here often?" I asked him

"No. I just come here whenever im loaded with a... paper works to refresh my mind." He explained.

"If I live here, maybe I will come to this place everyday."

"It's not safe. there are animal roaming around the forest sometimes."

"Animals wont hurt you when you're good to them. I mean if they hurt you maybe they are just defending themselves from you. Maybe you did something that triggered them." I said defending those creatures who cant even stand for themselves.

"Not all animal are good. there are out there who killed not just for their survival. but for their entertainment, maybe." He said. What does he know about animals, he's didn't even went to medical school to understand life.

"Okay, if that's your belief." I shrugged while biting a piece of chips.

After spending nearly an hour, we decided to go the school that they were saying since my rashes totally gone. We headed inside the car and he started to drive again in silent. I am looking outside the window, enjoying the view and gazing at every tree we passed by when I felt his hand on my hair.

"What it is?" I said while turning my head to him. "Get your hands off."

"Sorry, I thought you were sleeping. your head might fall outside the window."

"Wait, how? the window is so closed."

"Nevermind. Im sorry for touching your hair. The university is 30 minutes drive away, you can rest now." He said. I am trying to put a harsh word to make him regret for touching my hair but when I look at him our eyes met and I kept staring at those eyes, those hazel eyes. I opened my mouth to find myself saying,

"Did we met before?"

"I dont know, maybe." He softly answered.

"I've seen those eyes many times. First, when I was 5, then it continued." I froze and even forget that we were inside the running car. I tried to bring my mind back to reality. "Please, drive safely I dont wanna die yet." I said but still looking at his eyes. I dont know how do I look but I just cant move my pupils off him. When I said that he then blink for like a hundred times and look at the road. Honestly, I dont want him to look away from me. He now focus on the road while pinching the bridge of his nose.

"How did you see my eyes when your were 5?" He asked looking confused but eyes still on the road.

"I've been dreaming about it."

"Your dream happens in reality?"

"Not all. But the more I aged, the worst it become." I admitted."I tried to seek help but it didn't work." I continued. Yeah it's true. I even overdose myself with sleeping pills when my parents passed away afraid that I might get another nightmare but I kept that to myself.

"So you've seen me in your dreams?"

"I didn't saw you at all. It's the hazel eyes. Well maybe its not even you. Hazel is common and my dream is not specific if it's real or fake hazel eyes." I chuckled trying to destruct my mind in making a corny joke.

"What's that stare then if your not even sure if its me or not?" He asked nut seems not a question though.

"I dont know. I just can feel it, like i am attached to it. like i've known those eyes for the longest. sorry about that. This is one reason why I hated around people."

"It's okay, its not your fault." He replied, grab my right hand and kissed my knuckles. Lust!

"We're here. Let's get inside the campus. Hope you'll like it here." He continued.

I jumped out of the car and we walked inside the campus, the guard almost bowed their head when they saw us. He toured me around the campus and we went to the department of nursing. All the people here is nice and welcoming but I noticed it's only a few of students here. unlike in Millwood. I then get a flyers where the instruction for admission is printed and the dean explained everything to me. When we're done, we head out the campus and decided to stop at a cake shop to buy something that we can bring to luke's mum.
