Her Wrong Desires

Monday is a day Rebecca hates more than anything, she loves her weekends to herself. Now she hates the fact that she would have to go to work early and see the reports on the new branch she has been planning to open.

She moved to her walk in closet to bring out an outfit of the day. She is still tired from the gala event on Saturday night and she couldn't wait to get to work, because Sophia told her that she found something that might help.

Picking a peach vintage gown, she got clad in it. Then she headed to the garage straight without waiting for breakfast. She might be late for work if she is to wait for breakfast.

Luckily for her, the driver had arrived and was bringing the car to live. She muttered a greeting to him before she got into the seat of the car comfortably.

The poor old man drove gently through the road of New York City while she watched the feed on her phone. She is used to doing that now.

She would silently be in her world while she goes through the outer world on her phone. A notification came in and she checked it. It was from her work email, she pressed on the notification and the email was from a sender;Jgabriel87@g*******m which she instantly assumed it was from Gabriel.

Her father had asked her to gift 2500$ in cash but she decided to add more to it. She asked the accountant to give him a signed cheque by her with the amount 3000$ written on it.

It says:

Good morning ma'am, I write to inform you that I have received the bonus salary and I am grateful for it. Thank you so much.

Gabriel James.

It ended. It was so simple yet it at least tried to portray his messages. She would have been angry if it was another employee but then, it is Gabriel, her almost favorite person in the company.

She might not have shown it but in her heart, it is imprinted there. Even when she saw his wife, she couldn't help the fact but feel something in her heart. It might be jealousy or anything close to that, she agrees but is sh supposed to feel something for someone that is married and with kids already?

She knew indeed she is deceiving herself and at the end she will be one crying because she believes she is in love with Gabriel, no doubt she is.

But then she will never allow anyone to find out about it, only Sophia and Assane knows and she knows her father will make a big deal out it when he finds out.

He has been match making her with his friend's son that lives abroad but she always make sure to make a bad expression of herself in front of them.

Her father thought she might change if he gives her space but her heart has already found someone it wants, someone it desires and would love to spend the rest of her life with but then it is impossible.

"We have arrived ma'am." The driver informed. She gently dropped from the car and used the private elevator that leads directly to her office. "Good morning ma'am." Her secretary greeted.

She nodded at her. "Sophia will be here in two hours or so. Bring her to my office." She ordered.

Then she walked to her office and ordered breakfast from her favorite restaurant which she knew Assane will be the one to prepare it. Oh, Lord she can not even wait to taste it, she decided to buy extra because of Sophia.

She went through the works she found on her desk. It will ease the week more for her as she works on the major issues of the company. "Your food is here ma'am." The secretary informed and she walked in with a packaged customized lunch box.

"Thank you. Inform my PA to come here." She said and continued to work on the file she had started.

Later on, her PA walked into the office holding a hot cup of coffee. "I thought you won't feed me my coffee." She said but it came out as a joke.

"I am sorry ma'am, I got caught up in traffic hence the reason why I was late." He apologized before dropping the cup of cappuccino on her desk.

She shooked her head him and continued with her work. She is almost half way through with it and she won't stop until she is done working on it, then she will transfer it to her laptop and send it to the managing department.

Her dream is that, in two or less than that years to come, SxE company should grow to no one's expectations, even her father's. Because it is her and she vows to make it so successful that no company will stand close to them, which she has started to achieve the goal.

"The b***h is hereee." Sophia's voice ranged through the office and she lifts her eyes to meet that of Sophia.

"Have sense, at least for a day." Rebecca warned.

"No way. I love me this way. By the way, what do you have for us? Is that food?" She asked as she jumped on the couch and started to unbox the lunch box.

"It is good and it is only half that is yours." Rebecca warned, knowing that Sophia can finish the food without keeping some for her and she had anticipated eating it.

"I got to find out what you want." Sophia dropped with her mouth full.

"Really? What is it?" She furred her brows.

"Just like you had suspected before, he is involved with your father and they once had an agreement that he, Tyler will get married to you and that will stop their company from going bankrupt but then you refused to meet talk more about getting married to him. It made Tyler angry and he decided to get back at you for that." Sophia informed, then she stuffed her mouth with the biryani bread.

"Wonderful." Was all Rebecca could say. Soon she would expose Tyler and her father but then she needs more than that evidence.
