“That leech! Mr. Beaufort really had an affair with Klare!” Fiona blurted out.
“Really?” Ruby responded, her curiosity piqued.
“Yes! Klare went to see him yesterday. Gio told me he saw her. But he also said Mr. Beaufort didn’t meet her alone. Apparently, Beaufort’s looking for a mother for his kids now,” Fiona explained.
At first, Ruby didn’t feel anything, but hearing Fiona’s last statement made her feel a strange sense of relief. She had been worried that Jack might have started to like her.
