I kept the alphas in the loop as I followed them in the dark of the night. They have stopped for some reason and I have no idea why. “Do we have to wait for them to come and fetch us? That big pack didn’t do it this way,” I heard one of the slavers complain and I focused on their conversation. “That is because they are big and organized. This is a much smaller pack,” another one responded. I can feel Melia landing next to me again. I turn human and look at her. “I have been told that this is a territory boundary. I am causing the wind to blow away from the border so that they can’t smell us being this close,” Melia signed and I nodded at her. It must be the Alphas that told her this. I looked down at the wolves just watching what was happening in front of us. I saw a man that had been captured looking back at us and his eyes going big. I saw the alphas showing him to be quiet and he looked ahead of himself again. That was close. The other pack’s wolves had arrived and were sniffing the slaves first. They howled and stood in a format that would let anyone know that they should walk. The slavers jerked on the chains and the group moved again. I wonder how we will get close to the base of this pack. Should I try to make everyone here stealthy with magic? I jumped down from the tree and almost landed on the alphas. “Sorry,” I whispered to them before they did something that would get me mad at them. “We would have preferred to not alert the alpha that we are in his territory so soon, but we have no way around it,” the twins whispered loud enough for me to hear. “I was thinking of trying a stealthy spell on all of you,” I gave them my plan and everyone looked at me. “As long as I have mana, it will work on all of you,” I added to convince them even more. “Okay, let’s try that,” the alphas agreed and I opened my hands to them all and cast the spell so that they would not be heard or felt the moment they crossed the border. I also added enhancements to them all so that they can not take damage of any kind. If we are going to attack this pack, we might as well overpower them. We are just a handful anyway. I turn to an owl again and we all start moving forward. We are doing the same as we did until now. I inform them of what is going on and what is happening as they move deeper in. I landed on a branch looking over the houses and a big house that I assume is the pack house. The slaves are brought to the pack house and I see the person that must be in charge of this pack. He is trying to be intimidating. He is inspecting the slaves by grabbing their faces and smelling them too. I would sure have attacked him if he touched me like that. “So these are witches?” He looked at the slavers and they nodded at him. I wonder if there are more here. I looked around and saw a girl looking straight at me. She is pulling on her mom’s dress. She is pointing at me, saying something to her mom. I can’t read lips since I am not deaf. I did not need to learn that skill. I looked at the people behind her and let the alphas know that there might be more slaves here. Their clothes are the ones that are telling me that they are slaves. They also have collars around their necks. Why will they keep witches as slaves? I see the group wanting to come to me since I have found a patch of forest in the middle of the pack housing and in front of the pack house but they will be seen the moment they move closer. I looked at them and nodded after I added an invisibility spell to their existing spells. I heard whispers from the side of the little girl since most of them are witches. Can they feel my magic? That is impossible. My magic can not be felt this way. Or are they feeling me? Are they picking up my mana signature? That is always a possibility. They all turned human before entering the little forest garden. Some of them are climbing trees too. I go down to the Alphas to listen to the plan he has. “So that little brat is the alpha of this pack. Wonder if we should do this formally or just attack?” The Alphas spoke and I frowned at them. What are they going on about? “We don’t-” I couldn’t help myself and put my hands on their mouths as I saw someone walking past this area. All our eyes are following them as they walk very close to the little forest garden. I must say this pack is beautiful. I moved my hand away from their mouths and looked at my palms. They are feeling funny right now. This is weird. Must be something I touched to cause this tingling feeling. Hope I did not carry that to the alphas. Well, they may suffer a little too, part of their punishment in my eyes. “You guys want to have a kingdom, right?” I looked at them and the two of them nodded at the same time. “So, would you rather fix this pack?” I asked and they nodded again. “Okay, so do it the right way, and if that does not work, use force?” I asked just to make sure we understand each other. “Yes,” they confirmed what I thought. “Okay, I will stay here then and send video feeds to you using these,” I let a clear crystal appear from my magic inventory. They naturally frown at this. “Here,” I force Marcus to take it since he is the one that is a little bit more stuck up than Lucas. They look at the crystal confused. I let the other crystal appear and make it record what it sees. On the top of the crystal, an image is showing what the crystal is seeing on all four sides it has. Everyone gasps at what they are seeing. I get them all quiet quickly as we yet again notice someone walking very close to the garden. And we all follow this person with our faces as they walk past. I am impressed that they did not notice us yet. “Place the crystal on this one,” I let a pitch-black crystal appear again. “This will store what this crystal is receiving from the ones I will place in this pack,” I pointed at the clear crystals. They nodded and Lucas took the black crystal. “Want me to teleport you all back to the pack house?” I asked and the alphas frowned. “We are not going to leave you alone here. What if they find out what you are?” The twins protested and I stopped them with an open palm. “I can take care of myself. I will be an owl, so they will not find me,” I reassured them and I can see that is bugging them a lot. “With these crystals, you will see what I am doing. So, you will know what is going on here,” I tried again to assure them and I can see they are still not liking this idea. “Fine, we will do it your way for the time being. Teleport us, please,” they responded and I gave a light smile. “If you struggle with this, ask Greg for help,” I waved at them and Melia hugged me before I let her teleport with them. I turned into an owl again before letting the invisibility spell disappear. I appear to be in the tree just like I was before I made our presence invisible here. This is going to be fun. I may need the help of the slaves here. I looked in the direction of the slaves I saw previously looking at me and saw the girls are still standing where I last saw her. I made an Owl sound again and she frowned at me. Is she on to me? Does she know what I truly am? I fly over to the pole they have placed in the middle of a few houses. Everyone is turning in for the night. I saw the girl that watched me going inside her house with her roommates. Wonder if they are her parents or what. I picked the room in the back. It is also the smallest in the house. Now I shall wait for her in the window. She was the only one to see me, so I am sure she will not be that frightened of me. I heard them all saying good night and her door finally opened. Naturally, she pauses the moment she sees me sitting in her window. She narrowed her eyes at me. She closed the door behind her and she walked over to me. She pushed herself past me and looked around in all directions possible. “Stupid, someone could have seen you!” I was suddenly grabbed and the curtains fell over the open window. What? How did she move so fast? “What are you doing here anyway?” she flops down on the ground and releases me too. I looked at her and she made eye contact with me. I turn human and she is still glaring at me. “We came to save everyone,” I whispered and she seemed not to believe me. “How are you planning to do that?” She doesn't sound convinced. “Before I elaborate on our plan. My friends call me Flo, nice to meet you,” I stretch my hand out toward her. She eyes it and suddenly sighs. “My name is Cassy. I am a druid. That is how I could Identify you,” she confest. I smiled at her. I knew something was up with her. No ordinary witch can tell a real animal apart from a druid. “The way you looked at me, makes a lot of sense now,” I smiled at her and she took a deep breath in again. “So, how are you planning to save us all?” She asked the question again. “With these. My King wants to get evidence of how this alpha treats everyone. So, to get that evidence. I need to place these crystals all over the area so that my king can gather the feeds he needs to confront this alpha,” I explained quickly and she suddenly opened her eyes widened. “Are you saying that you are with the rumored Alpha King?” Cassy suddenly grabbed my hands, letting the crystal fall. “Rumored? Is there a rumor about them?” I never heard of this rumor before. “Yes, the tale about an alpha king being born has been told many times over and over again. Some have even seen him in action. A Massive Wolf with two heads!” She suddenly sounds in love with Razor. I can not believe there are stories about them. I never heard about them before. We didn’t mingle with people outside our village that much since we could survive on our own. “Uhm, I was not aware that they were this popular. So, can you help us by placing these crystals in places where you know the Alpha is abusing every slave?” I picked up the crystal and made five more appear. Cassy’s purple eyes sparkled with hope as she took them from me. “Of course, I know the perfect spots. Leave this to me,” she stood up again, walked to her window, looked around, and climbed out. I followed her by turning into an owl again. I can’t let her do this all alone. She needs someone to watch her back.
