PLAYING A ROLE

James had the most craziest idea, he was planning to do the contract with Emily seeing that she was brave and had a better personality, he got to her house address and knocked.

Emily's POV

I woke up from my bed and went to make cookies when I heard the door bell ring, I went to it opened the door and there he was James white, him again.

word caught in her throat, she was speechless, she allowed him in and then the conversation started.

"good morning" he said, " so sorry to show at ur door step like this but I really need a favor" he paused, unsure whether to continue or not but he did " so i want us to be husband and wife " , Emily spat out her tea and looked at him with questioning eyes," calm down" he said, " it is a contract marriage and there are a lot of benefits" he continued " these are the following benefits "a car of ur own , a mansion, a. restaurant and finally a pay check of twenty million naira and the contract lasts for two years " ," what " she screamed " I can't do this" , " and why did you choose me ?" James knew she was too hard to please so he said " u are fun to be around" ,she stared at him with those blue eyes of hers and told him" I will think about it" and then james finally left

The next few days were tough, Emily was not at rest, she kept thinking why her and for what reason then after much thought she made up her mind and sent him a msg saying they should meet up

They both sat together and then the discussion was very long, one that none of them expected and then she agreed to the contract and she also gave her own terms and conditions and to her surprise he agreed to them all.

(SIX MONTH LATER)

Emily is now Mrs . white and she is playing the role perfectly, she didn't really cared much about his outing, she just did as she was told, smile, wave and look perfect, she went shopping and acted like the real deal.

That night, for the first time in her life she felt nervous because she was going to be meeting with her father in law and mother in law, she wore her purple gown and then James walked in, "time to go" he said and they both walked to the car and they were driven to his parents villa

Both Emily and James walked in looking like the most beautiful couple that walked out of a magazine, James was caring he held her gown, pulled out the chair and they all ate, then the questions began

Mrs. White raised her glass then said " ur wife looks beautiful at a glance she is the real definition of beauty and now that u guys are six months into marriage any plans about kids yet?". Emily almost choked on her juice but remained calm but Mrs White wasn't done yet , so Emily aren't you going to say anything? " she asked but Emily kept quiet then James spoke " mom it's too early don't disturb my wife pls " , " okay son, mummy is going to keep quiet " and she did through out all the meal, James drove them home and Emily went straight to her room not talking to him at all.

(The next morning)

James was in the living room when she walked in and sat down waiting for the maid to bring breakfast, " good morning my dear wife, trust u had a wonderful night rest" she looked at him and then answered "yes " thanks for the concern, breakfast was served and then James left after eating and she went back to bed thinking about everything, thinking about how james stared at her and then she stood up went into the shower and stayed till her nerves were calm .

( 3 months later)

Emily was playing around with her pet when she saw a shadow moving around the house, she dismissed it at first then she saw it again she was terrified her phone was upstairs and before she could wrap everything around her head the figured stood in front of her and pushed her down into the pool she couldn't breathe she fought she kicked but it was useless then suddenly before her eyes closed she saw blood and thought she was the one dying but she was to weak to look

James pov

I came back home to pick up something when I saw the scenes I was mad, I got there and shot the mother fucker in the head and carried Emily to the room and I did it lips to lips I tried to bring out the water from her mouth and within minutes she was coughing and when she saw me she hugged me,

" thank u once again for saving my life" she hugged him more tighter not wanting to let go and after what seemed like minutes he let go and she said good night to him and he went to bed but not as a mafia lord but as a man in love but he wasn't sure if she loved him back he was doubting it and was not ready to be rejected, he remembered her smile her hug and the kiss he planted on her lips he just wished that she felt the same way and that nothing will take her away from him not 3ven jane who is now dead and he thought of it revoke the contract she is min3 and mine alone no one will take her from me I will make her mine, he finally took of his clothes had a long bath and then.......
