I think this might be the first time since preschool I wasn’t there to greet the bus when you got off, but as we both know, things change. When I was your age, the neighbors would have deemed you a latchkey kid. I guess that term went the way of the buffalo, though. Same as that expression. Anyway, there’s lasagna in the fridge that I separated into oven-safe containers. Just pop it in at 375 for twenty minutes. And for God’s sake, set an alarm! Get all your homework done and lock the house up before you go to bed. I don’t expect to be home before 1:00 a.m., so hopefully you’ll be sound asleep when I walk in the door.
