“You have been found guilty of attempted murder among others..... you’re both sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour”. Those were the words from the mouth of the judge. It seemed like the curtains were now made to close against me.
I was just 20 years and an extra 10 years of my life in prison would mean a lot. When I realised that there was no going back on this judgement, tears rolled down my cheek, and I cried bitterly as they walked to the van.
They transported us to a prison right in the middle of an ocean where we would be handled specially. They had to use a helicopter to get to the prison. The inmates of this prison were all females, but they looked rather fierce and ready for trouble.
